I DON'T LIKE IT –
↳ lando norris + bestfriend!reader
⌗ :: masterlist
⌗ :: a/n: im actually in a lando phase (maybe its bc i f1 is gone for months) but its effecting me so much so im blessing you all with JEALOUS/POSSESSIVE LANDOOOO AHHEHE. merry christmas my lovelies <33 (also if this is bad im sorry i was extremely tired when i wrote this lol)
usually you don't like going out with lando. the clubs, partying, drinking it wasn't exactly your scene.
so when he insists you come out with him to celebrate the constructors championship, you can't exactly say no. hence, the short fitting black dress, and nicely done, hair and makeup that you've put on. when you go out, you go out, it just doesn't happen very often.
"are you nearly done?" lando's voice calls out from the living room as he waits for you.
"yeah, i'm coming now," you call back, walking down the stairs and mentally preparing yourself to talk and interact with people.
you grab the car keys off the small table in the hallway and make your way into the living room your footsteps announcing your presence to lando, he turns around and slightly falters in his movements when he sees you.
"uh, wow, okay," he says looking you up and down slowly, his eyes raking over your body.
"what?" your brows bunch and you look down at your outfit. "i thought it looked good, is there something wrong?"
"uh... no, no, you look amazing, i just wasn't expecting you to look so nic-"
"you weren't expecting me to look nice?" you raise your voice playfully.
"no, no, no i- uh- no- look... shit," lando mutters looking down and shaking his head. "you look amazing, seriously. i just forgot how well you can pull off a black dress."
you smile, and chuck the keys towards him, "i can pull off anything lando norris, even you. and that's not something everybody can do." you wink and walk back out through the hallway to the car.
"you can pull off me?"
"yeah, not every girl can have lando norris on her arm and still be the centre of attention. there are perks to being your best friend you know."
"and there are perks to being yours," lando says unlocking the car and sliding into the drivers seat. you feel the safest when he's driving, always trusting him when he's behind the wheel.
"oh really?" you ask looking over at him. "like what?"
"you," he murmurs backing out of the driveway. you don't hear him though, too distracted by a text you received from your sister.
–––
he didn't like it, you could tell. was it the murderous looks he was sending in the direction of the guy's - who's name you've already forgotten - or was it the looks he was sending you, heated and something else? both probably.
he wasn't even focused on the crowd around him dancing and drinking their nights away.
when the guy started getting too handsy that is when you felt lando's hand wrap around your waist and causing butterflies to erupt in your stomach - which you promptly ignored.
"leave her alone, mate. she's mine," lando's voice comes out harsh his anger directed towards the man who steps back apologising - typical of him to only step back when another man steps in.
"oh sorry, i didn't know," he slurs and walks off, most likely to go puke in some poor person's handbag.
you're about to spin around in lando's arms and thank him for rescuing you but you stop short at the expression on his face. "what?" you look down at your outfit. "is it the same thing from earlier? what's wrong?"
"i don't like it."
"don't like what?" you ask furrowing your brows.
"when other people touch you," he responds quietly his voice low and tempting. thats new.
"oh," you reply slightly dumbfounded. in all your years of knowing lando norris you've always had hidden feelings for him, sure there were points when said feelings were buried deep deep down, but they were always there.
and you always thought they were never reciprocated but they way lando is looking at you right now is... something new. something you like... a lot.
"i don't like people thinking they can just touch you. they can't. because you're mine not theirs. you're my best friend. you're my person. you're not theirs to touch or hold or flirt with, because you're mine."
his arms tighten around your waist as if he's expecting you to run away at any moment.
"oh my," you breathe. "i don't know what to say."
"tell me you feel the same way, tell me that i can be yours, because you're mine, and i'm not letting you go anytime soon."
"possessive are we?" you chuckle trying to diffuse the tension because he's probably drunk, he's going to wake up in the morning and apologise about this insisting he doesn't know what he was talking about and how sorry he was.
its happened so many times before.
your heart gets crushed every time. so you don't go out with him to avoid it.
but tonight this feels different.
"i haven't had a sip of alcohol tonight, this is the most clearheaded i've ever been in a long time... please talk to me."
"lando," you whisper. your heart is teetering on the edge of being shattered to pieces and finally telling the truth. you're walking a thin line between the two hoping to fall on the right side. "i don't want this to be like those other times when you wake up in the morning apologising for what you say."
"i never meant those apologies. i remember all those nights, i lied," he breathes swaying with you to the music. "i freaked out in the morning because you would always want to talk about what happened, and your face was always so distrusting so i shut it down pretending i didn't know what happened."
"really?" you're tilting on the line, swaying from side to side waiting for the words that are going to make or break you.
"really. i've been in love with you ever since the day you stopped to pick a flower that reminded you of me."
"lando," you give him a look. "that was like the second time we met."
"and i've been yours ever since." he smiles at you, his eyes filled with clear adoration, which quickly turns to a pissed off look when someone steps up behind you and asks for a dance. "piss off mate, we're clearly talking."
you smile and don't even bother to look back at the man, everything you've ever wanted is standing in front of you and offering himself on a platter for you. and you're tired, so tired of staying on the ledge between friends and more,
so you take the leap.
pulling him imperceptibly closer you wrap your arms around his neck and hug him tightly whispering in his ear, "i'm yours too."
you can physically feel his body relax and mold around yours - a perfect fit of course.
if you fall, it will hurt for sure, but this moment, right now; flying with him, together, will be worth it if you do.

EEEEK THIS ACTUALLY MADE ME SMILE LIKE A FOOL THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR LIKING THIS!!! this was exactly what i was going for when writing this because i feel people always think of yukimiya as a picture perfect model who is always nice to everyone around him, and while i agree, i think many people forget how much nuance his character has?? like he's also sassy and a little bratty and he isn't afraid to speak his mind, which is why i thought that he would be perfect with someone who isn't distracted by his gentlemanly smile and instead sees both his good AND bad sides!! bonus point being his ideal type is someone who looks over him well and him being used to fans liking him for his model persona, i think he will appreciate such a person the most out of all the bllk boys!
it's so hilarious how yukimiya is canonically the unluckiest character, i imagine he would have such a hard time trying to impress his crush.
being a model, yukimiya knows his angles and how to carry himself, but somehow, you never catch him in the most flattering positions. the first time you meet, you see him trying to catch the snack his friend was going to throw into his mouth, but his friend sneezes right when the snack is launched and yukimiya gets hit in the eye (yes, the snack somehow gets past his glasses. how does that even happen?). on another day, he sees you stranded at a bus stop near the school because it's pouring and you didn't have an umbrella, but when he walks towards you in hopes of getting to share his umbrella with you, he slips on a puddle and lands on his butt with a splash.
while yukimiya always has a smile on his face, his close friends would know that it isn't always genuine, and behind his polite friendliness, he loved to gossip. the unfortunate thing is, you've caught him more than once in a less than ideal situation. for example, after politely rejecting a classmate's confession, he turned around to roll his eyes because she could barely give a good reason beyond his looks for why she had feelings for him, just for you to be right in front of him to see his scoff up close. ah, not to mention that one time you overheard yukimiya snickering with his friends about a teacher looking like a turtle. it still keeps him up at night sometimes.
yukimiya knows that it's impossible to keep up his smile all the time, but at the very least, he wants you to always see him smiling, so he makes sure to try extra hard whenever you're around. or at least whenever he thinks you're around.
it's one of those days when everything is just a little too much to bear, so yukimiya excuses himself from soccer training to catch a breath in a corner of the school compound, hidden from view behind a vending machine. but of course, it's just his luck that you happen to use the one next to him, out of all the vending machines in the school. he brushes off your concern when you ask why he's crouched on the ground, and he slaps on a smile as he tries to distract you with some small talk. yet, you seem unconvinced, so you buy him a drink and crouch next to him.
in your bid to comfort him, you recount the silly situations you've seen him in, not realising that he's burying his face deeper into his hands with every word you say. you let it slip that you think these sides of him are cute, and although many, including himself, think of yukimiya as calm and composed, he looks up at you with wide eyes and an uncontrollable blush.
#oops im rambling#but thank you so much!!!#seeing how my writing resonates with people means so much to me

nsfw. ellie fingers you on patrol to help with your cramps. 1.4k words.
Never in your three years of residency in Jackson would you ever predict this–Ellie’s fingers deep inside of you, stroking the soft, sweet spot swollen by your own arousal. You would never have been able to predict actually crying out for her touch, hips bucking up to meet her palm like it was nothing. It was truly everything, because this was never supposed to happen.
You and Ellie had a strong distaste for each other from the start.
You liked to go to parties and drink, be reckless during patrols, and (at least attempt to) sleep with anyone who you thought was even slightly fuckable. Ellie was a wallflower, so maybe her distaste for you was plain jealousy. For you, your dislike for Ellie was much more than just something solvable with a little chat.You really resented her, and maybe it was because she actually made you feel things.
It was just another patrol like the rest, Ellie being quiet around you, and you refusing to make your usual conversation. Ellie was the only person you didn’t chat up a storm with when it came to these long patrol shifts, this one even lasting two days and requiring a camp set-up. If the two of you had really thought it through, you would’ve been more careful. Two people who have that obvious and yet annoyingly oblivious tension? It should’ve been predictable.
It started with the growing of blood in your underwear. The perfect time to be on your period, huh? You only let out a little huff to which Ellie ignored, setting off into the forest to put on a pad. When you returned, it was like fate that hit you, much like a lightning strike. Literally a strike of pain in your lower stomach signifying cramps to come, and on the one patrol you before to bring a bottle of Ibuprofen on.
You laid in your sleeping bag in pain, not wanting to even complain to Ellie, as much as you were the whining type. It’d be real nice to have someone to listen to you express how badly this cycle was, how your body was doing you dirty. You weren’t expecting Ellie to speak to you first.
“You okay over there?” not the usual irritated tone she liked to use with you, but not the most empathetic. Just slightly softer, but that was a mercy due to the strain in your relationship.
“Cramps.”
“Just take an ibuprofen and lay on your side.”
“Gee, thanks. I would’ve never thought to do that,” you bit, making Ellie glare. “I don’t have anything on me. I forgot I was close to my period.”
“Damn,” a not so sympathetic, and possibly indifferent curse from her.
“Yeah, damn is right. I feel like I’m being stabbed in my uterus repeatedly.”
Silence went on for a few more minutes, but it was visually obvious that you were in a lot of pain. Despite her dislike for you, she didn’t like seeing you suffer. There was a small flutter of empathy deep inside her that made her suggest something she probably shouldn’t have.
“Physical stuff can help cramps, you know.” Quiet, and yet the implication was clear.
“You mean like..sex?”
“Don’t think of it as actual sex, obviously. Just me helping you.”
“If we do this, we aren’t having sex. I’m not moaning for you or telling you how much I want you, so don’t expect that shit. You’re simply giving me an orgasm, and then it’s done.”
“Agreed. No kissing, and as soon as you..finish, we stop.”
And it started just like that, as sexual act of non-sex.
Ellie didn’t warm you up with neck kisses or sloppy love bites like your usual partners did, and partially, you were glad. This was just supposed to be an orgasm, and you didn’t need to like each other to appreciate a good orgasm, right? A simple pain reliever. Anytime your brain would bleed with thoughts of Ellie doing those things for you, however, you’d block them out as soon as they entered into your mind. The imagery was more difficult to get out of your head, though. Just simply picturing her plush lips trailing over your neck, breath ghosting over…
You snapped out of it, and just focused on trying to cum so that this would end, and you and Ellie could go back to hating each other.
One finger slipped inside of you, and you bit back a gasp. You were wet enough to take it without much at all, and you hoped Ellie just assumed that was just because of your period and not actually because you were turned on.
Ellie started out slow, just rubbing your g-spot with her finger, providing some direct stimulation. It made you realize how different the act of sex itself was from sex with all of the other stuff. The teasing, how your typical couple would build up the moment to make it the best possible experience. That wasn’t what this was, though. So, why were you biting your lip to stifle moans when Ellie slipped in another finger into your increasingly wet hole, and even padded over your clit with her thumb?
Your head was spinning, and you were starting to lose your focus on just having that orgasm, the aid to your cramping. You were already too distracted to think about the pain, too focused on trying your hardest to pretend like Ellie’s calloused fingers curling into your pussy wasn’t the hottest thing you’ve felt in a while.
Ellie didn’t complain when you instinctively bucked your hips up into her touch, and she had to try really hard not to lean down and kiss you when the occasional moan slipped past your lips. She couldn’t blame you, it was a natural reaction.
So, why was it that you were now begging for more when she curled right up into your sweet, tender spot?
“Ellie,” you breathed out, eyes fluttering open to meet hers. The scrunch of her nose that was usually present when you were around faded away, and her eyes were lidded, her lips parted slightly. A delicious, rosy tint set across her freckled face.
“Is it helping?”
“Please. Please, fuck me..just like that, I need it,” you begged, making her stomach do summersaults. It couldn’t be helped, though. Ellie took note that you shed off a little bit of your dignity when she slid her fingers slightly out and shoved them back into your hole, just to slam into your g-spot. She liked the way you sounded, the way your usual walls built around her crumbled when she fucked you good. Even though she didn’t (or at least tried not to) care to observe you enough, she noticed that you were different when at parties dancing with random people, more inauthentic. Something was ironically beautiful about the rawness to your voice that hit hard when she did something particularly mind-blowing to your pussy.
A mix of blood and your juices were dripping down her knuckles, and she really wanted to taste you. It would probably be something she would regret later, but Ellie decided to sate herself with a soft kiss to your lips instead. She felt warm and tasted like the rations from earlier, but you kissed her back fervently. The needy sounds coming from your throat were swallowed by her own mouth.
The orgasm that hit you was mind-blowing enough to aid with the cramps, but that wasn’t what you were focused on. Instead, it was the way Ellie’s tongue coaxed your lips apart, and the scent of her hair against your nose when she buried her face into your neck to taste your pulse. You felt every tremor run through you like lightning, and it was unlike anything anyone else could give you. It wasn’t forced, and the passion there was real. You actually felt something with her.
As you came down however, the moment dissolved into awkward silence and the careful removal of Ellie’s fingers from you. You swallowed, holding back your words. You wished to forget it all now, not because you wanted to deny it ever happened, but you were scared of what it meant if you got attached to someone in Jackson.
Just like that, it was over, and you and Ellie didn’t go quite back into disliking each other dynamic but rather an awkward limbo. You left that patrol and spent the next few weeks sleeping with people, pulling all-nighters trying to make yourself feel what you did on that patrol, but you never could find the same peak in every single category of feelings that Ellie gave you.

Full Masterlist // Dieter Bravo Masterlist
The night was coming to an end and you were tired.
Dieter had insisted you come with him to a get together with some of his friends who were in town to promote their newest projects. Of course all of them knew that you were much more than just the PA the outside world knows you as.
You had been dating on and off for around four years. What started as a… mutual quarantine friends with benefits kinda situation turned into something more throughout the last year. You had been with him through his final successful rehab and you couldn’t be prouder of him being sober for almost two years now. By now you were living together, but keeping it all lowkey. You were still working as his PA, but not for that much longer.
You’d start working at Dieter’s new production company as an production assistant in the next year. You had always wanted to work in that field, being Dieter’s PA and the pandemic only delaying your goal by a bit.
Not that you were mad about it.
Sure, you would still technically work for Dieter, but not like you did now. You would work for the COO of the company and not for Dieter directly.
„Come dance with my baby,“ he gave you one of those smiles he knew you couldn’t resist, his friends already on their feet, music loud in the background as Dieter held his hand out for you. Knowing you couldn’t say no to him you took his hand and let him pull you up and into the middle of the room.
It was a small private bar in some fancy restaurant, the only people around his friends and one bartender. Crossing your arms behind his neck, feelings his arms, his hands on your back you let him sway you to the music, his chest against yours.
„You look really pretty tonight,“ he hummed with a small smile, kissing your forehead.
„Thank you. My man got this dress for me,“ you grinned softly, your fingers playing with the soft hair in the back of his neck. It was just a black sweater dress he had surprised you with the week before.
„He got good taste, your man,“ he grinned back and you nodded.
„He got his moments,“ you teased and he chuckled, swaying your bodies to the song.
„Thank you for coming with me tonight. I know you wanted to stay in. But it was nice having you here with me. And I promise we will stay in for the whole weekend and do whatever you want,“ he said and you smiled at him.
„Love you,“ you smiled softly and he mumbled a love you too, before he kissed you softly.
You continued to dance for another two songs, one slow song, and one where Dieter attempted to teach you how to actually dance to the beat, but you were a lost cause, you both ending in a fit of giggles before he tells you that he wants to head home.
You agreed, wanting to use the restroom before.
„Baby, you gotta help us,“ he called out to you when you came back into the room. With a raised eyebrow and a small smile you walked towards Dieter and his three remaining friends.
„With what?“ You asked.
„Wanna promote his movie and had an idea,“ Dieter said, nodding towards one of his friends.
„Okay?“ You nodded, a little confused.
„But these suckers can’t stop laughing while filming so you gotta,“ he winked and now you were intrigued.
„What exactly am I going to be filming?“ You playfully narrowed your eyes.
„Just little old me, dancing towards the camera while this song play,“ he shrugged innocently but you could see his eyes sparkling with mischief.
You actually listened to the song, lips parting as you recognised it. Sucking your bottom lip between your teeth you looked up at Dieter before you playfully rolled your eyes, holding your hand out for his phone. He kissed your nose softly before he walked back towards the other side of the room while someone put the song on repeat and turned it louder.
„How slutty is this going to be?“ You asked with a small grin as you searched through his phone for the camera app.
„Oh you know me, baby. Just the right amount,“ he winked at you and you chuckled before you straightened up, watching him with a smile as you pressed record.
„Do your worst then, Bravo,“ you challenged and he danced towards you, smoulder full on, his eyes on you behind the phone as he moved his body, pulling his arms up, hands towards his face as he danced closer towards you. You bit your lip as you watched him, asking yourself how you got so lucky to get to call him yours when his lips twitched into a smile as he was close to you, his hands coming to rest on your hips as he kissed your cheek, your skin suddenly flushed at his little performance. You chuckled as you stopped the video before you tilted your chin up to kiss him softly.
„Let’s get out of here?“ He asked and you nodded.
You used the way home to edit his social media posts, taking a little longer than usual to edit the clip of him dancing, cutting the last part of him kissing you out.
„Gotta say this video hits different cause I get to experience just how well you can move your hips on an almost daily basis,“ you said with a small smile and felt Dieter look at you from the drivers seat.
„Aren’t you a lucky girl?" He teased and you looked up at him.
„Can’t argue with that,“ you sighed with a dreamy smile and felt his hand on your thigh the next moment. You were finished with editing by the time Dieter parked his car in his garage.
„You wanna look or should I just post?“ You asked.
„Just post it,“ he said.
„You sure? Pretty sure that video could qualify as foreplay,“ you grinned and he chuckled.
„Merry Christmas to everyone watching then,“ he winked before he got out of the car. As he rounded the car to open your door, you hit post, putting his phone into your purse as you let him help you out of the car.
„How do you feel about some actual foreplay upstairs?“ He asked before he kissed you as soon as you were out of the car, your back leaning against the car door.
„Pretty sure you could just fuck me right here from how wet it made me to watch this video two hundred times while editing,“ you mumbled against his lips, feeling his twitch into a smile.
„While I’d love to do just that,“ he whispered, one of his hands tilting you head up, the palm of his hand caressing your cheek.
„I really want you to sit on my face,“ he winked before he pulled you into his house.
„Oh my god, Dieter,“ you gasped, your fingers wrapped around the wooden headboard in front of you, Dieter’s arms wrapped around your thighs, his head between them as he ate you out.
He really did not waste any time to get you to sit on his face as soon as you made it upstairs, stripping down himself then you quickly, before pulling you on top of him.
His tongue was merciless, playing with your pussy like only he could, bringing you closer and closer towards your first orgasm. One of his arms let go of your thigh, his hand coming up to play with your tits, palm squeezing one of them softly.
„Shit, baby. Right there, suck on my clit,“ you moaned, crying out when he did just that, your walls clenching around nothing seconds later as your orgasm washed over you, your lips parted with a satisfied smile, head thrown back as you rode it out, one of your hands coming down to slip into his hair as he continued to lick into you.
Finally you looked down, finding his dark eyes already fixed on you and you slipped down his chest, his hands coming to rest on your hips as you straddled his, slowly rubbing your drenched pussy over his cock.
„You’re so fucking sexy, baby,“ he said as he licked his lips and you grinned before you leaned down to meet his lips in a sloppy kiss, tasting yourself on his lips.
„Want you to ride my cock baby, please,“ he whined between kisses, as you continued to slip his cock through your wet folds.
„Yeah?“ You teased against his lips.
„Fuck, yes please,“ he whimpered, his hands kneading your ass as he helped you move on top of him. You loved how needy he got sometimes.
„What if I really want to suck your cock?“ You asked and he groaned.
„Later. Wanna be inside you now,“ and you hadn’t it in you to tease him any longer, sitting yourself up and wrapping your hand around his cock to line him up.
You both moaned when you sunk down on him, every inch of his thick cock stretching you perfectly just like it did since the first time you had fucked until you were sitting on top of him, cock deep inside of you.
„Shit, your pussy is so fucking perfect,“ Dieter moaned and you smiled down at him. His eyes on your tits before he looked up into your eyes.
„All of you is fucking perfect,“ he moved his hips beneath you and you gasped. With both of your hands on his chest you began to move on top of him, first rolling your hips before you slowly began to ride his cock.
„Feels so good, Dieter,“ you moaned softly, enjoying the way his cock was stretching you out.
„Yeah?“ He asked, both of his hands on your tits, playing with them. You sucked your bottom lip in, nodding as you began to move faster, bouncing on his cock. He began to move too, thrusting up into you to meet you halfway, the sound of skin smacking against skin filling the room.
„You close?“ He asked and you nodded.
„Good girl. Use my cock and make yourself cum. It’s yours,“ he groaned and you moaned.
„Wanna fuck you from behind after you cum, shoot my cum all over your back,“ he said, his eyes on you as he fucked up into you harder.
„Oh fuck,“ you moaned, arching your back as your second orgasm rushed through you, your hands covering Dieter’s that were still on your tits as you slowly rode it out.
As you breathed deeply you looked down at Dieter with a fucked out smile on your lips.
„Hands and knees baby,“ he winked up at you and you sighed before you got up from him and let Dieter help you get you on your hands and knees, still feeling a little wobbly from your second orgasm, his cock back inside of you within seconds. He grabbed his pillow, pushing it under your chest and you let yourself fall down even further, your ass up in the air as he fucked into you.
„You good?“ He asked and you nodded.
„Use me, baby,“ you said, the side of your head on the mattress, wiggling your ass playfully and he slapped it twice.
„Tell me if it gets to much,“ he said and you nodded, crying out at the next moment as he began to fuck you with hard, deep thrusts. Somehow he felt even deeper like this and it was like you could feel him everywhere as he pumped himself into you, the bed squeaking beneath you with how hard he was fucking you.
It felt so fucking good, Dieter knowing just how he had to touch you to make you feel good.
„Oh fuck I’m gonna cum,“ he groaned and you nodded desperately.
„Cum for me baby,“ you whined, already feeling his cock twitching inside of you before he pulled out. You turned your head to look up at him, his hand jerking off his cock, a long groan escaping his lips before you felt the first rope of his cum on your back. His eyes were closed, head thrown back as he milked himself dry and you hummed with a tired smile, his eyes opening when he finished, finding yours.
With a fucked out smile he looked down at you before he looked at the mess he made of you. Leaning down you gasped when you felt his tongue run up your spine, licking himself off before your felt one of his hand on your arm, finding yourself on your back moments later with him towering over you, his lips meeting you in a messy almost desperate kiss, both of you moaning as you shared the taste of his cum.
„Your so fucking filthy,“ you mumbled against his lips with a grin.
„You love it,“ he grinned back and you kissed him again, your arms crossing behind his back and he landed on top of you with a surprised huff.
„I really fucking do,“ you agreed with a laugh.
The next morning, you were only wearing his shirt form last night, you sneakily filmed him in his kitchen as he made breakfast for you, wearing only some very low hanging grey sweatpants.
You filmed him as he danced through the kitchen, Christmas lights hanging on his kitchen window as Wham’s „Last Christmas“ played in the background. Excited for the first Christmas you would spend as a couple.
And much later it was Dieter who filmed you, him with a Christmas hat on and you, with his cock down your throat.
But those videos would remain private.
For just you and him.

im a total sucker for sleepy marauders, so here's my idea if you want to write it:
personally, i think sirius tries very hard to not appear, be and feel vulnerable even with the people he loves, but when he's sleepy that façade drops almost completely. could you write gn reader babying sirius even if he tries to refuse the love he's receiving? i imagine him secretly enjoying all the attention and care his lover is giving to him, feeling whole for a second.
i don't know if you already wrote something like this, but feel free to dismiss it if you have!
thank u sm xx.
hi, gorgeous, thank you!! i hope you enjoy
sirius black x gn!reader, fluff <33
"poor baby." you whisper with the softest voice. sirius' eyes are blissfully closed. "you've been so tired, haven't you?"
he's always been pretty, but even more so when he's all melting under covers. he hums quietly, starved for every piece of affection you'll offer. you settle down in bed to reach him properly.
"you know what i think sometimes?" he talks with a deep voice.
"what?" you ask him as you cup his cheek. your hand is warm and sirius forgets everything.
"doesn't matter." he manages to say.
it's not like he tries to hide anything from you, but he never thought he'd be good at being loved. your thumb draws a half moon on his sharp cheekbone. his body moves closer to yours.
"it's okay." you tell him. "maybe you should sleep."
"yeah." he says. your hand is- oh, it's so nice to be touched like this. you hold the back of his neck gently as you massage his scalp and he feels the tension on his shoulders easing off. "i will."
he looks like he'll fall asleep quicker if you keep drawing shapes on his face. you want to keep loving on him, the affection grows until it hurts your chest. he's so gorgeous, it's not fair. he looks like an angel with his face and his deep black hair. the soft locks are spread on the pillow, your other hand goes to fix them. they don't fall on his eyes after you move your fingers.
"you are so pretty." you whisper. your lips feel like silk against his forehead. sirius rubs his nose to pillow, suddenly feeling bare in front of you.
"stop." he tells you, meaning he wants you to keep going.
sometimes he's having fun with the compliments he gets, he's confident as hell, but the minutes he spends under the covers with you feel different. he's all soaked up in a type of love he doesn't know how to handle.
"that's true." you smile. "you are so beautiful. you're like a piece of art, sometimes i get jealous over other people who get to admire you beside me."
"oh my god, please." he's definitely hiding now. he's so sleepy. "how can you- you are the pretty one here, in case you don't notice."
you lean in to kiss his cheek. your lips leave a faint sound behind. sirius tilts his head back to let you reach him better, you kiss his other cheek. every tiny spot on his face begs to be kissed. he pouts softly, you press your lips to his frown.
his arm finds your waist. "let me sleep, you evil." he begs. "you're playing with my heart rhytm."
"oh, no." you play along.
you continue your kisses on his neck. sirius doesn't know how to calm his body. he has to surrender when you kiss the spot below his ear. you offer him a lovesick smile, and he can feel the shape of your curled lips on his skin.

The wind practically knocks you over as you try to climb up the few stairs up Agatha’s porch. Christmas lights twinkle in the darkness, illuminating the snow that’s gently falling. Your mittens do little to block the cold, hands shaking as you reach up to knock on the door.
The fog from your breath hangs in the air as the door swings open. Alice greets you with a sweet smile. “Hey, you! You made it! Come in, come in, it’s freezing out here.”
“Thanks,” you smile, stepping in and sighing with relief as warmth envelops you. “I like your sweater.”
“Fun, right?” Alice closes the door behind you, posing so you can see her sweater in full. It has a cute silhouette of a witch on a broomstick, being pulled by a group of reindeer. “Kind of a mash-up of holidays. Speaking of outfits, you look amazing tonight.”
“I think I’m overdressed, to be honest,” you laugh as you shed your coat. You definitely regretted asking Jen of all people for outfit comparisons - she always overdressed for any occasion, and it made you lean towards a velvety black dress. Like Alice, it seems like the other guests milling around are dressed more casual. “Maybe I should just grab my sweatshirt from my car or something.”
“Don’t you dare,” Jen says as she approaches you. Seeing the sparkly, emerald green dress she’s wearing gives you a bit of relief. At least you don’t stand out the most here. Flying under the radar was usually your go-to. The only reason you even dared come to a party hosted by someone you barely know was from Jen and Alice convincing you that it would be fun.
Jen soon gets distracted by gossiping with Lilia, but Alice is kind enough not to abandon you. The party is actually pretty nice, despite your initial hesitance to even show up. There’s not very many people crammed into the house - just enough that it feels cozy and chatter fills the space.
The weather outside starts getting worse through the night, unbeknownst to you as you’re tucked into the cozy library with a few others who prefer the quieter atmosphere.
Though the night is still young, people have started slowly leaving, claiming that they want to get ahead of the inclement weather. You start to wonder if maybe you should leave a bit early as well, but Alice assures you that if it gets particularly bad, you can stay at her place since she’s much closer. So, you put that thought aside and just enjoy your evening.
While you’re telling Alice about a weird customer that keeps showing up at the coffee shop you work at, your eye catches a glimpse of the host for the first time tonight as she waltzes into the room.
Agatha Harkness. The older woman is dressed in a blood-red sweater and simple dress pants, some elegant rings and necklaces sparkling under the light. She’s talking to Jen and Lillia, the former of whom being the reason you even knew Agatha. You’d only talked a couple of times when Jen would drag Agatha along on a coffee run, but you’d always been a bit enamored with her beauty.
You weren’t even really sure what she did for work - and if your friends knew they’ve never filled you in. All you knew is that she was a very powerful woman, with very powerful connections. Even Jen, who was frankly unintimidated by most people, had to admit that Agatha was a bit scary.
What Agatha wanted, she got. And if something tried to stop her, there would be hell to pay.
Alice nudges you, giving you a knowing look.
“What?” You roll your eyes at her.
“You’re painfully obvious, you know that right?” Alice raises an eyebrow, a playful smile on her face. “Go say hi.”
“Well, I don’t want to interrupt their conversation…” The end of your sentence trails off as piercing blue eyes meet your gaze. Instincts tell you to look away, but some unknown feeling overrides that.
Time seems to stand still as you mull over how little you know Agatha and how much you’d like to know. She regards you, blatantly ignoring the conversation she’s supposed to be participating in. Eyes scanning you, calculating.
Maybe even hungry.
With that thought, you’re the first one to break, pulling out your phone to fake distraction. With your gaze now averted, you miss Agatha’s lips quirk up in a smirk. She watches as you turn back to Alice, clearly flustered, and clearly not intending on making any sort of move.
Lucky for you, she’s more than happy to take things into her own hands.
“Alice,” Agatha’s booming voice cuts through the noise of the party. Alice looks up as Agatha struts over, boots thumping on the floor with determined purpose. “Would you be a dear and keep those two from starting a karaoke session? They’re both about one glass of red away from breaking into Mariah Carey, and frankly I’d rather risk walking across a frozen lake right now.”
Alice rolls her eyes, but gets up to go make sure the others behave. Agatha sighs, plopping into the now empty seat next to you. Her nimble fingers trace the rim of the wine glass she’s been nursing. “Jen said you’d be coming.”
“Oh, she did?”
Stupid. Of course she did, she told you she would. In your nervous fumble, you reach for the drink Alice got you earlier. It’s remained almost untouched so far, but you’re desperate for an excuse to not talk.
And, in a true feat of spectacular coordination, you manage to knock it into your lap.
“Shit!” You groan.
“Oh, dear,” Agatha juts her lip out in sympathy. “On such a pretty dress too! Come on, I’ll help you clean up.”
You take a couple of napkins and blot ineffectively at the stain. “It’s okay, this is enough to dry it at least…”
“Nonsense,” Agatha scoffs, putting her own glass down and standing up. You look at her, puzzled as she just stands there, before you realize she’s expecting you to follow. She starts leading you through the house, down the halls that no guests were allowed in. “We don’t want that to leave a stain, I have a couple of things that should help.”
“Thank you, Agatha, really,” you say, trying not to analyze all the decor and photos that you pass as she leads you.
You end up being led down to the basement, carefully descending the creaky wooden stairs. The dwindling party can be heard above you, muffled music and footsteps reminding you that you’re not completely alone with Agatha.
Agatha shuffles some stuff around, looking through the bins near her washing machine. “Dear, do you have your phone on you? My eyes aren’t great in this darned dim basement light.”
You turn on the flashlight on your phone and pass it to her, waiting patiently as she rummages around. “Aha!”
Her grin is illuminated by the light of your phone, and you can’t help but smile - it’s infectious. She motions for you to come closer, turning on the nearby sink.
“Alright, give me your dress for a second.”
“What?” Your smile fades, and you recoil back in surprise.
“Your dress, it’ll be easier for me to clean if you just take it off,” Agatha says, like it’s the most obvious thing in the world. She analyzes your face, and you practically see the thoughts turning in her head as your own brain fumbles for what to do. “Here, one second.”
She grabs a couple of things from a laundry basket - a t-shirt and some sweatpants - and hands them to you. “Switch these out, and then I’ll clean your dress off.”
You nod, taking the clothing and changing as fast as you possibly can. Your head gets stuck in the shirt for a moment, and you miss the way Agatha’s eyes rake over your bare torso and lacy bra. As your head pops out, she quickly turns her attention to your dress, rinsing it and applying some cleaning product, rubbing the fabric gently in her hands.
“Ugh,” Agatha groans suddenly.
“What’s wrong? Not coming out?”
“No, the stain came out fine, but I think I wet it too much. It’s soaking, you can’t go out in this. I’ll hang it up to dry, but it’s gonna take a while,” Agatha ponders as she grabs a hanger. “You’re more than welcome to just keep those clothes for now.”
“Oh, okay,” you say, playing with the end of the shirt. You’re resisting the urge to rub your nose against the fabric - even after having been washed it seems to smell like Agatha. “Thanks again.”
“Of course, sweetheart, I’m happy to help,” Agatha beams. “I’m going to get this dress set up to dry, you go back upstairs and enjoy yourself. I’ll be right behind you.”
When you get back upstairs, you realize that most of the guests have left. In fact, it seems like it’s just your friends left. Even the neighbors who live just down the street have retired for the night.
Alice spots you approaching and sighs with relief. “There you are! I was trying to find you. I’m going to need to take Jen and Lilia home. They’re in no state to drive. What are you wearing?”
“Oh, I spilled my drink, Agatha’s hanging up my dress to dry,” you say, clearly embarrassed. Alice, the saint that she is, does not take the opportunity to tease you for being in Agatha’s clothes.
“Gotcha.” A loud thump comes from the other side of the room, and you both look over to see Jen picking Lilia up off the floor, both of them drunkenly giggling. Alice sighs, “You’re good to drive, right? They live on the opposite side of town from my place, so if you do need me to pick you up on my way back, just call me okay?”
“Yeah, yeah. I’m fine,” you assure her. “I didn’t get a chance to drink anything before I spilled it on myself. I’m just going to thank Agatha for helping me out and then probably head out.”
“Okay, be safe. And seriously, call me if you need anything.”
“I will, I will,” you instinctively reach for your phone to see that it’s charged enough, but you realize you must have left it downstairs. The trio leaves in a whirlwind, and suddenly you’re left alone.
Well, not completely alone.
“Good grief, did everyone decide to do an Irish goodbye?” Agatha returns from the basement and immediately makes her way to the kitchen to make herself a drink. She sees you standing awkwardly and nods at the sofa. “Take a load off, honey. Your dress will probably at least be dry enough to wear comfortably in a little while. Might as well enjoy the fireplace while you wait.”
You hear her humming to herself from the other room, and you gaze contentedly at the crackling fire, curling your legs under you. The wind outside rattles the windows. You gasp as you look outside for the first time in a while. It’s started snowing so hard that it’s hard to see, and you can tell that it’s piling up on the streets.
“Shit, I should really try to get home,” you start to stand up, but a firm hand is placed on your shoulder, and a warm mug is shoved in your hand. You give Agatha a confused look as she sits next to you, a steaming mug in her own hand.
“Honey, it’s getting real bad out there. Alice said you live across town, yeah?” Agatha says, eyebrows furrowed in concern. “I think it’s a bit too late to try to start driving. Good thing is, the other ladies probably made it at least back to Lilia’s place by now. They’ll probably huddle up there for the night.”
“Yeah…How am I going to get home though?” You look at the drink Agatha handed you, realizing it’s not alcohol but hot chocolate, the top foamy with already melting whipped cream. You take a sip, sighing as the warmth fills your body.
As you ponder your options, you take a few more sips. Agatha wipes the whipped cream that catches on your upper lip with a napkin, and you’re suddenly acutely aware of how close she is. You kind of want to shift away, but your body feels heavy, and the way she’s looking at you has you paralyzed.
“Stay here,” Agatha whispers, breath dancing against your skin. “You can drive home in the morning once they clear the streets.”
“I wouldn’t want to impose,” you shake your head, taking another big sip of your drink, frowning as you realize you’ve almost hit the bottom. “I can figure something out…”
“Doubt any cabs are out tonight.”
“Seriously, Agatha, I appreciate the offer, but I should probably go,” you start to stand up, but are hit with a sudden dizziness, and immediately sit back down. “Woah…”
“You okay, baby?” Agatha asks, but her voice doesn’t sound concerned. Or surprised.
Your stomach churns a bit. The room feels like it’s spinning, and the lights all suddenly feel way too bright. “I don’t know. Was there alcohol in this drink?”
“Not a drop,” Agatha answers.
“I dunno what’s wrong then,” you mumble, your words are slurred. Desperately, you try to put the pieces together and figure out what’s wrong, but everything feels muddled now.
“Maybe you ate something bad earlier? Here, lay down on the couch, baby.”
When did she start calling you that? You try to respond, but the words come out too muddled to understand. Agatha guides you onto your back, your head resting on a throw pillow. All of your muscles feel simultaneously heavy and weak, and you need Agatha to guide you down so you don’t just flop like a fish.
“Agatha,” your word comes out as a strangled whine. “What’s happening?”
“It’s okay, I’m right here,” Agatha says, her voice deep. She’s hovering over you, and you feel a shudder run through your body as she hits you with that hungry look again.
Wait.
The only thing you’ve drank tonight was what Agatha made you, but…she wouldn’t have.
Right?
If your eyes didn’t feel so heavy, you’re sure they would’ve looked up at her wide in sudden realization. Nevertheless, it seems like she reads the change in expression on you, the shift from confusion to sudden fear. Agatha laughs, low and menacing.
“So cute. I was almost worried that I wouldn’t even get the chance. But thank god for the others leaving early, hm?” The shirt Agatha gave you is tugged up, and her thumb catches your bra as well, pulling both articles of clothing over your chest in one motion. You try to wiggle away with what little strength you have, but Agatha shifts quickly, straddling your thighs and keeping you in place.
“Pretty tits,” Agatha says, and you don’t know if she’s speaking to you or herself.
“Ag’tha.”
“Shh, darling. Just let it happen,” Agatha’s face hovers over yours, her pupils blown out and dark, and your stomach twists as you realize how much this is turning her on. Drugged and delirious, you’re at her complete mercy. And she couldn’t be happier. “I’m going to take such good care of you. I don’t break my toys. Not permanently, anyway.”
Agatha’s lips press against yours, and she doesn’t even care that you’re too weak to reciprocate. She grips your chin with one hand to keep you in place, her soft lips peppering your face with kisses. It would be sweet, in any other context. You’re sure that her shiny red lipstick is all over your face, and that it’s leaving a red trail as she drags her lips down your neck.
Her teeth sink in, and you give up your feeble attempts at fighting it. Agatha must feel you go completely limp (well, more limp than you already were), because she chuckles against your skin as she soothes the bite with her tongue.
“Good girl. So good when you let me give you what you need.”
The drugs in your system make it hard to register what’s happening. Agatha’s hands are on you, but you’re unable to keep up with every pinch and grope as she explores your body. A sharp tug of your nipples is enough to give you a jolt of awareness, and you moan pathetically in response, your body betraying you.
“Oh, you like being hurt?” Agatha tugs again and gives your tit a sharp slap as well. You groan, drool starting to drip from your lips. “Dirty girl. Bet your pussy is fucking wet too.”
She slips her hand under the waistband of your pants, nimble fingers finding your damp cunt. Her mouth opens in a dramatic gasp. “I was right! You like this, huh?”
You babble nonsense in response, your no’s coming out incoherently.
“What was that? You love it? Aw, baby, you flatter me,” Agatha kisses you again, not caring about the trail of drool on your cheek. She pushes her fingers into you, meeting some resistance as you’re not quite wet enough to take her so quickly. Your hips twist as the feeling of her fingers dragging against the walls of your cunt makes you flinch. “Take it, take it like a good girl for me. This is what you wanted, right? You were so obvious, with all that staring and how nervous you got around me. You were practically begging for this.”
“Don’t…”
“Found your voice again, it seems. Probably not for long.” Agatha clicks her tongue, shrugging as she shuffles down your body, tugging your pants down enough that your cunt is exposed. She kisses down your mound, groaning as she reaches her prize. Nose nudging your clit, she inhales your scent and moans, the vibrations close enough that your clit throbs in response. “Fuck.”
All the sensations are reduced to vague feelings as Agatha starts to lick you in earnest. Warm. Wet. Feels good. Darkness clouds your vision as you start slipping in and out of consciousness. Fingers again, prodding at your hole. Thrusting in, curling, working you better than anyone ever has. When did she slip a third finger in?
“Come on, baby, want you to cum all over my fingers,” She mumbles against your clit before flattening her tongue against it, fingers curling against your sensitive walls again.
Your body shudders, but you can’t even tell if it was an orgasm. The woman you’ve been lusting after is fucking you through climax, and you’re not even going to remember it. Maybe if you’re lucky, you’ll forget this whole thing. Or at least enough to deny it.
Because as fucked up as it is, some pathetic, yearning part of you still wants Agatha. She’s drugged and taken advantage of you, yet there’s a part of you hoping that this isn’t a one time situation, that she’ll still want you when you’re fully awake and able to enjoy yourself.
God, there’s not enough therapy in the world to even start to tackle that, you think.
Suddenly you realize you’re crying, salty tears hitting your tongue as you breathe heavily. Agatha crawls back up your body, wiping her mouth with the back of her hand. “Baby, it’s okay, it’s okay. We’re done. You did so, so good for me.”
“Good?”
“Yes, very good,” Agatha kisses the tears from your cheeks. She rearranges your clothes so that you won’t get cold, and pulls a blanket off the back of the couch to drape over both of you. The position is awkward, since you can’t really move much, but she manages to squeeze herself into a space where she can hold you. “C’mere, darling. You took that so well. Let me hold you, pretty.”
“Aggie,” you mumble against her skin when she pulls you against her chest, unable to conjure her full name.
“Yes?” Agatha hums, stroking your hair.
“Why?”
Silence falls over the two of you for a moment as Agatha lets the question hang in the air. You can feel her heart thumping, feel the way her hands stroke soothing circles into your skin. The last thing you hear before you finally fall into a deep sleep is her voice.
“Darling, I always get what I want.”

✩ model!reader - models for fresh love ✩
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
you pulled up to the building, double checking the address before you got out of your car and walked in. you'd had a scheduling mishap and your manager had double booked you for the day, so you swore under your breath when you noticed that you were showing up late, and for a brand you'd never worked with.
you'd seen the founder, one Chris Sturniolo, follow you on Instagram about two weeks ago, and after scrolling through his account, you'd ended up following him back.
not long after you did, you noticed him liking quite a few of your posts, and then came a ping from your phone, signaling a new message.
2:16 pm: "love all the shoots you've done, they look amazing. i have a shoot for my own brand coming up, was wondering if you wanted to model?"
you read the direct message, the gears in your brain beginning to spin. you couldn't lie, you thought chris was incredibly attractive, and you almost never turned down a good modeling opportunity.
2:23 pm: "what's the brand? would love to look into and consider it."
2:24 pm: "@/freshlove"
a fast responder, then. you scrolled through the account that he had linked, and while it wasn't the type of thing you normally modeled, you were always up for a little bit of a change, a little step outside of your comfort zone.
just as you clicked out of the page, a new message notification crossed your screen.
2:27 pm: "hope you consider it well. would love to see your face there."
was he flirting with you?
you smiled to yourself, never turning down an opportunity for a little fun.
2:28 pm: "i will. would be a shame to miss out on such a nice looking offer. the clothes are cute too."
your only response was a heart reaction to your message, and just two weeks later, here you were.
slipping your phone into your pocket, you glanced around at all the people bustling through the building, unsure of where to go.
"you showed up."
you spun around, quickly realizing it was chris who had spoken, and who you were now standing face to face with.
"yes, i did. i'm so sorry i'm running late, my manager double booked me by mistake-"
chris just laughed, cutting you off.
"don't worry about it. double booked, huh? you must be popular."
you smiled back at him, a teasing glint in your eyes.
"yes, incredibly so. you should be grateful i chose this shoot over the other one i had scheduled today."
his grin only widened, enjoying the playful banter.
"well, consider me lucky i scored such a high demand model. i'll show you where you can grab clothes, if you'd like."
"after you."
it wasn't a far walk to where the rest of the models were setting up, most of them smiling and immediately welcoming you. you settled in easily, not noticing where chris disappeared to, but putting it mostly out of your mind as you let the makeup artist do her job.
the shoot went smoothly, you being the last one to go. chris coincidentally reappeared just in time to oversee all of your photos, smiling when the cameraman showed him each one.
"how's it look?" you called, that same confident smile on your face.
you'd learned early on that insecurity gets you nowhere, and while you weren't cocky, or egotistical, you were photogenic.
"perfect." he was incapable of hiding the smirk on his face.
the shoot wrapped up, and chris showed up once again as you were exiting the changing room, the outfits you'd just modeled draped over your arm.
"pictures looked fantastic."
"thank you. are they going on the instagram?"
chris nodded. "as soon as i get them, yes."
"tag me in them." you winked, starting to head out of the building after grabbing your things.
chris shook his head, smiling, privately loving your confident but playful demeanor.
"can i walk you to your car, or are you too booked and busy?"
you waved your hand in the air, dismissing the joke with a smile.
"never too busy to have a pretty boy walk me somewhere."
quickly finding your car, you and chris walked over there, generally chatting about both his brand and your job. he seemed genuinely interested, which was a nice change of pace.
"well, this is me."
you felt a slight twinge of disappointment as you held the handle of your car door, having thoroughly enjoyed the day.
chris still held eye contact with you for a few moments, not making any move to walk back inside, before gently pressing his lips against yours.
taken by surprise, but not uncomfortable, you kissed back, feeling his hand wrap around your waist. after a few seconds, he pulled back, that same smirk painting his lips.
"i hope to see you next time i have a photoshoot."
"i'll be expecting a message."

Edd: Matt, is it recording?
Matt: Mhm. You’re good to go, hun.
Edd: Okay. Hope the auto-captioning works. Uh, so let’s start this off by saying HI EVERYONE! Uh, end of the year message here. Something-something, merry Christmas! (Tom: LAME!!)
Matt: A VERY HAPPY HOLIDAYS AND CHEERS TO THE NEW YEAR!! EXCITED FOR 2017!!!!
Edd: Haha! Okay! But seriously this time, thank you all so much for being an important part of our lives, whoever this may be directed to.
2016 was one hell of a ride, and I’m really happy to have met all the people who made it better. It had its ups and downs, but— haha— I’m genuinely really thankful to have my loved ones stick around and help me out whenever I needed it most. To my family, friends, and 3 hubbies, thank you all so much! Merry Christmas, and happy 2017.
[All 3 clapping! The others go to Edd for a group hug, and yes, that includes them pulling in Tom.]
Matt and Tord: LOVE YOU TOO, EDD!!! (Tom: …Lame.)
Edd: Was that good? I kind of made something up on the spot!
Tord: HAH! Better than what I could’ve done.
Matt: Okay! Anyone else want to say some last words? Actually. I’ll go first.
Um! I’m so so very happy of the people in my life and the experiences and the love from this year! You all mean so much to me, and I could NEVER trade in anything else to replace the joy that you have all given me. I love you all so so much, thank you, a million times THANK YOU, for everything! Take care of yourselves, and as always, LOVE YOU!!!
[All 3 clapping, Edd and Tord yelling]
Edd: I LOVE YOU MORE THAN WORDS CAN IMAGINE MATT!!!
Any of you two want to go?
Tord: Uh… Hehehe.
[Tord and Tom look at each other with a very mischievous smile]
Tom: Eat my jolly jingle balls.
[Tom and Tord CACKLE SO LOUDLY AND HIGH FIVE in front of an incredibly confused Edd.]
Edd: Okay then.
Tom: Hah. Okay fine, fine. Uh. I don’t like Christmas, but have a nice occasion of whatever you celebrate, and have a safe one. And yeah. Take care, peace.
Okay, you, Tord. Go.
Tord: What the hell do I say?
Matt: ANYTHING! Let it out to your heart’s content!
Tord: …Ok. Thank you all. And… love you.
Edd: One last group hug before we end the recording?

Momo: Hey wait a sec, I just noticed while I was snapping pics but is your neck hurting, Yuki!?!?!?!?!?
Yuki: You caught me. I probably slept wrong.
Yuki: I fell asleep at the desk while I was composing and now I can’t turn my head to the right
Momo: Huhhhh!!!! Then I’ll sit on your right side to protect your neck!!
Yuki: Absolutely not. I won’t be able to see your face
Momo: Wait a sec,,,,,,
Momo: Yuki, aren’t you pulling the Super Darling gun a bit too early in the morning….being this beautiful should be illegal!?!?!? 😭😭
Yuki: Only for you, Momo.
Yuki: But what exactly are you protecting my neck from?
Momo: Oh you know, a stray baseball flying in from the right, or someone bumping into you and making you stumble!!
Yuki: That’s straight out of a manga.
Yuki: So what would you do if a water bucket came flying in from the left?
Momo: I’ll dash to block it and say something like “close call…”!!! lolololol
Momo: Wait, Yuki, why’s your manga knowledge so extensive!?!?
Yuki: Ruri-san made me read some when I visited your house.
Momo: What the hell is nee-san plotting lololololol
Yuki: It was pretty interesting.
Okazaki Rinto: I’m glad you seem to be enjoying yourselves over there! Now then, shall we get started?
Momo: Sorry Okarin lolololol we’re sitting across from each other and ready to start 🤩
Okazaki Rinto: Good! They requested a laid-back, relaxed conversation for this, that’s why we’re doing it through rabbichat.
Okazaki Rinto: Let’s start with Yuki-kun, how did you feel when you heard that Momo-kun was going to produce your song?
Yuki: I was really happy of course. Momo always gives me energy with his warm words, so I was curious about what kind of melody he would give me through this production.
Yuki: Momo’s very good at conveying his feelings, so I always felt like he’d have a knack for creating music that resonates with people, something that lingers in their minds and stays in their hearts, warm and comforting.
Okazaki Rinto: I see…! That’s a perspective only someone who regularly composes music would have.
Momo: Oh you... You always make me happy with your words, Yuki 🥲
Momo: But to be honest, it was suuuuper stressful….
Yuki: Really? Even though “Can’t Stop Emotion” turned out amazing.
Momo: Yuki,,,,
Yuki: It’s tough, but also a lot of fun, right? Making music I mean.
Momo: Yeah. It was a lot of fun.
Momo: I didn’t fully compose the song myself since it was a team effort, so I didn’t fully understand everything you do but
Momo: Having to convey my feelings through something other than words and gestures was super difficult, but I was so happy. How do I explain it… I treasure that feeling!
Yuki: I can relate
Yuki: Whenever I’m working on a new song, I start cursing everything around me. I contemplate never working on anything like that ever again, quitting songwriting altogether. But when I’m finished and I hear Momo’s voice on the song, I realize that “ah, there’s no other job that could make me happier than this.”
Momo: Yuki,,,Can I sit next to you,,,,?
Yuki: This position is very comfortable.
Momo: Awwww ‼️ I got rejected 😭‼️
Okazaki Rinto: So Momo-kun, how did you decide on what direction to take amidst all your hard work?
Momo: First and foremost, I thought about what kind of Yuki I wanted to portray! Like the Yuki who’s not a morning person, the Yuki who’s super proactive when it counts, the Yuki who’s sensitive and overflowing with emotion, the Yuki who’s amazing at cooking, super into cleaning, who’s just a kind, dashing gentleman with a beautiful voice…
Momo: But at the end of the day, I wanted to shine the spotlight on Yuki’s passion for music. A quiet, calm, yet fiercely unwavering flame. I wanted to express that dignified strength and the freedom in his boundless music.
Momo: And that’s the reason why the intro is quiet and minimalistic, but as the chorus hits, the music bursts forth like it’s flying, flapping its wings, dancing, being set free, going on a journey! Those are the feelings that resonate within me when I listen to the music Yuki makes for me!
Yuki: You really put a lot of thought into this
Yuki: You have real talent, Momo
Momo: Huhhh???!!! you don’t have to flatter meee 😆 even though that makes me happy 😆✨
Yuki: I’m serious.
Momo: Y-You really made your point come across...
Okazaki Rinto: What on earth just happened over there?
Momo: Yuki sat down next to me 🥹🥹
Yuki: I made sure to face him from the side that doesn’t hurt.
Yuki: It’s just as you described, Momo. When I got the demo, I was moved by how the song felt like it was taking me on an ever-changing journey.
Yuki: I felt the same way I did the day you brought me out of that dark place, showing me so many new and different sides of this world.
Yuki: Maybe that’s why the song felt familiar to me.
Momo: You’re the one who changed my world, Yuki!
Momo: Back when I thought there was only one path for me, when I felt trapped and depressed, I came across the music you wrote.
Momo: It warmed my frozen body, frigid to the tips of my fingers, brought color back to my world, and filled me with the urge to move ahead, to be passionate about something.
Momo: I poured all those feelings from back then, how I feel now, as well as my desire for us to always stay at the top into the lyrics!
Yuki: I wouldn’t have been able to move forward if not for your words.
Yuki: I felt like giving up on everything at some point, I could’ve thrown it all away. But you’ve always been there to save me. That’s why it’s all for y-
Yuki: No
Yuki: Nevermind, I don’t think I can say that right now, but I will tell you this
Yuki: "Can’t Stop Emotion" will be my treasure, always and forever.
Yuki: Stay by my side and keep singing with me, Momo. You’re the absolute king, unparalleled by anyone.
Momo: Okay,,,
Momo: A long, heartfelt message from Yuki,,,I’m eating so well,,,
Okazaki Rinto: What a wonderful day for you two to be honest with each other. I’ll keep supporting Re:vale forever and beyond!
Okazaki Rinto: Alright, can you please tell us more about the costume?
Momo: Sure!!! First of all, Yuki’s like a snow fairy who descended upon us during winter, so I pictured the stars shining brightly in the clear winter night sky 🪄🧚♂️☃️
Yuki: A fairy, huh?
Momo: You’re such a beautiful fairy that your face stands out amidst the clashing patterns! I wanted to show off your gorgeous sex appeal, that’s why I decided to express that with a variety of intricate patterns💫
Momo: And then I added chiffon material to the jacket to evoke the image of the starry sky, with scattered, shiny silver details all over, paired it with slim-fit pants to accentuate Yuki’s figure and balance the outfit for a sharp, smart look!! 💫
Yuki: Your fingers move so fast when you’re talking about me that it’s impressive
Momo: Well I am talking about Yuki after all 👍👍
Okazaki Rinto: Thank you for the passionate explanation! What about the details in the photoshoot itself?
Momo: Didn’t it look like a snow fairy had descended!? 🪄🧚♂️☃️ I really wanted to make it snow for real, but I didn’t want Yuki to feel cold, I was thinking about what to do and then it hit me…
Momo: Why not use light to represent that snow!? And that’s how we got Yuki, sparking gorgeously like the handsome man he is 🌟
Yuki: Everything was dazzling for real
Momo: That’s how much Yuki shines in my eyes! From the first time we met until now! Forever and always!!
Yuki: Really? You’re always shining bright, Momo.
Momo: For real!? 🥹 Then we can always enjoy that light together 🎄
Yuki: That’s true ^^
Okazaki Rinto: It’s Christmas, so that works perfectly!
Momo: I love how you’re always watching from a distance without interrupting when we’re like this, Okarin 🥹
Okazaki Rinto: I’m flattered! As much as I’d love to see more of your shenanigans, it’s time for you to say a few words to your fans…!
Momo: "Can’t Stop Emotion" is like a selfish wish of mine. It doesn’t portray the gentle, idol-like Yuki. Instead fully expressing my admiration, my love for him, my passion and my promise to keep going as the kings.
Momo: So, I hope our fans listen to this song and continue supporting us, forever and ever. We’ll fly towards the miracle waiting for us tomorrow!
Yuki: Momo called it “a selfish song”, so I want everyone to know how elated I am and how tremendously important it is to me that Momo’s being this selfish.
Yuki: And I feel so much more determined now that this song has been gifted to me. I’ll continue to be the absolute champion, together with Momo. And I hope all of you will follow us.
Yuki: Thanks to Momo, I’ve rediscovered the joy of creating music. I know what it’s like to push through everything to go on, to aim higher and higher. That’s why Re:vale is invincible.
Yuki: There’s no one greater than us, is there? Let’s move towards the future we want to see with you, with everyone.
Momo: Yuukiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
Yuki: Momo’s crying now.
Okazaki Rinto: Maybe he’s still hung up on the fact that you couldn’t wipe his tears last time!? (1)
Yuki: Today’s a Re:valeful day, so come over when you’re done, Okarin.
Okazaki Rinto: What do you have in mind?
Momo: Oh yeah, we’re gonna rewatch all our past live performances! We’re gonna reminisce over drinks! (๑>•̀๑)👍
Yuki: It felt like the right time to reflect on everything we’ve done so far, especially fresh off producing songs for each other.
Okazaki Rinto: Is it really okay for me to intrude on such a special day...?
Momo: Of course! Re:vale’s journey would be incomplete with you, Okarin!
Yuki: Re:vale’s what it is because you’re here with us.
Okazaki Rinto: Thank you so much! I’ll bring something tasty with me!!
Momo: Hell yeah! Then, let’s chat until morning!! 🥳

DPxDC Hogwarts AU [pt. 3]
The third time is... rather different.
Tim is standing still and prim in his new dress robes between both his parents, the shining and glittering ballroom full of soft chatter, music, and clanking glasses right behind him.
Daniel is standing in front of him, his back straight and his hair styled and gelled to the point where it looks like a beret on his head. He is wearing all white, pristine and perfect, and Mr. Masters, who is standing on his right, is dressed in a similar fashion. The man looks like a marble statue, if Tim is being honest, what with his pale skin, silvery hair and light blue, almost colorless eyes.
Tim hadn't paid attention to it before - to be fair, it's not like he had a chance to see Daniel up close until today - but the boy is also very pale. Not a hint of blush on his cheeks, no freckles or birthmarks that he can see. If Tim hadn't seen him move, he would have been certain he was looking at a porcelain doll, not a human being.
The other person accompanying them is a woman with short, cut just below her ears, ginger hair. And, unlike both Daniel and Mr. Masters, she is not as colorless, wearing a dress in light, shimmering blue, with a high laced collar and tight sleeves. She is smiling pleasantly at Mother as she greets her, keeping her hand on Daniel's shoulder, and, overall, looks a lot more alive than anyone Tim has so far met or seen tonight.
Which is nice. Tim didn't think that when people heard the name 'Winter Ball', they were meant to take it literally and show up acting like frozen sculptures.
The ginger-haired lady curtsies with a smile, and both Mr. Masters and Daniel nod before going past them and entering the ballroom of Drake manor. Tim glances over his shoulder - Daniel kept looking at him as if they've never met before, and Tim is not sure what to think of it - but the boy keeps walking after his chaperones without as much as acknowledging him.
It's only when Tim starts turning his head back that he sees the other boy shoot him a tiny grin over his shoulder.
Tim might not be an expert in body language or socializing, but even he knows that grin means nothing good for the guests at the Ball. Especially given Daniel's previous records. Tim bites back a smile of his own.
Good. This party can definitely use some elephant trunks, in his opinion.
~~~
Roughly an hour later, when Tim had long lost sight of the whole Masters family in the glittering crowd, and, to be honest, kind of forgot to anticipate whatever Daniel was going to do, the boy shows up in front of him again.
He appears from what seems to be thin air, out of breath but with his robes still perfectly white - Tim suspects some sort of spell - and cuts right in between Stephanie and Tim, grabbing the latter's wrist.
"Dance with me," he breathes out urgently, and Tim blinks. Daniel's fingers are cold as ice on his skin.
"What?" He asks, baffled, and Stephanie makes a loud, undignified snort, not bothering to cover her mouth. Daniel shoots her a quick surprised look, like he didn't even see her until she made a sound, but she just shakes her head and makes a tiny step away.
"I don't dance," she says, an innocent smile on her lips, and that's a lie, Tim knows she can dance, she did that not ten minutes ago. She just wants Tim to suffer, the blond traitor in an embroidered dress.
"Good, because I didn't invite you," Daniel smirks, tilting his head to the side, and it should sound like an insult, but somehow doesn't. Stephanie grins back. Tim has an awfully damning feeling like the two of them would get along like a house on fire, given half a chance. And he doesn't like that idea.
Merlin, when he wished for the ball to be a little bit more fun than it is, he didn't mean this. Not that he intends on stopping either of them, but he is pretty sure they are not allowed to join efforts because that will end with the ballroom in ruins. And Tim likes his house in one piece, thanks.
It's also quite irritating how the two of them can just exchange ten words with each other and become friends.
Tim twists his hand in Daniel's grip and grabs him, all but dragging the boy away from Stephanie and to the brightly lit dancefloor. He wanted to dance? Tim can dance, no problem. He bets he can dance ten times better than Daniel, he's had so many lessons.
The boy makes a short, surprised sound at the sudden movement, but then follows suit without a word. His hand is still cold. Maybe one of them should wear gloves.
"Why did you want to dance?" Tim asks, as they get to the edge of the crowd, where the glitter of jewels and the flurry of robes are making a complicated picture of waltz. Why did you ask me, Tim wants to ask, actually, but he is not sure he wants an answer.
Daniel pulls him back by their still joined hands, making Tim turn around, and puts his other hand on Tim's waist, like it's the most natural thing ever. Dancing, right. Tim puts his own hand on Daniel's shoulder and steps closer.
"Sam would actually murder me if I asked her, and I don't know anyone else," the boy explains with a careless shrug, tilting his head to the side and listening to the music. Tim sees his lips move but hears no words - counting the steps, no doubt.
"You don't even know my name," Tim rolls his eyes, and maybe he is a little petty, but he doesn't need to count steps. He just pulls Daniel into the dance, careful enough not to bump into anyone else. The boy follows his lead easily enough, even though he seems a lot more concentrated on where he puts his feet than Tim is. So, he is better at dancing. Nice to know.
"I do, you're Tim," Daniel tells him a few minutes later, when both of them are fairly confident they are not going to trip over each other's feet. Although Tim almost does anyway - he didn't expect that.
On the other hand, it's probably Samantha who told him. Mrs. Manson brought her over to Drake estate a few times but made sure not to invite Tim to Manson's. Probably in order to avoid the same daring escape to happen twice.
"And you're Daniel, but we were never introduced," he counters, "You're not supposed to know."
"That's a stupid rule," Daniel huffs and loses his footing slightly, stepping on Tim's toe, "Oh, sorry. And it's Danny, not Daniel. I hate 'Daniel'."
Tim rolls his eyes and is a little proud that it doesn't cause a single pause in his steps.
But then, there's a crackle up in the air above them, like a firework that went off too close to the ground, and that causes Tim to startle and almost trip over Danie- Danny. The boy's grip on his waist tightens as he keeps Tim from falling, and when Tim looks back up at him, Danny is grinning, wide and excited, and happy.
Just like he did back when they first met. Well, when Tim first saw him.
Which is kind of making Tim's stomach feel weird, but also can only mean one thing.
Tim looks up.
The chandeliers in the ballroom are all giant and lit with a thousand candles, and the patterns of countless mirrors on the ceiling and walls only make the lights seem endless. Not a starry sky, but a myriad of tiny suns thrown all over the high ceilings.
Another crackle follows the first one, and Tim sees a dozen of tiny explosions go off from the chandelier, shooting in all directions and turning into bursts of white, sparkling stardust that slowly fades in the air.
"Pretty, right?" Danny asks quietly as more and more little stars are born high above the crowd, filling the air with shimmering lights. Tim suddenly realizes that they've stopped dancing - and everyone else did, too - and his mouth is hanging open, because this is the prettiest thing he's ever seen, and he didn't expect Danny to do something beautiful. He expected a prank, a joke, something ridiculous like the elephant trunks or the escape on a broom, but this-
This is magic.
Tim can't look away, he doesn't want to look away, but he still tears his gaze from the ceiling and looks at Danny.
"How did you do it?" He asks, quiet enough so no one would hear them over all the fireworks. The boy shrugs nonchalantly, but his eyes hold the reflection of all the sparkling stars above them.
"If I tell you, it won't be that fun," he says, smiling.
Tim doesn't ask again, instead looking back up to the ceiling full of exploding sparks.
It's the best party he's ever seen.
Visuals that I might have spent too much time looking for:
And Tim's obligatory post-party drawings:
Also, for the ambiance reasons, listen to the 'Once Upon a December' cover by Céline Lavigne.
More random info on the characters:
Stephanie Brown is related to Lavender Brown, they are distant cousins, with Steph being a few years older. Her father is currently in Azkaban, and due to this fact, Steph and her mother are not often welcome in most social circles. They have a somewhat tense relationship with the rest of Brown family, but they are not ostracized, just generally frowned upon. Steph doesn't care much, though, you can break walls with her self-esteem. Her mother was a Hufflepuff, and she wants to be one as well.
Jack stayed home with Dani because she is too young to go through a whole ball without getting bored and stirring up some trouble. Danny was allowed to go under the condition that he won't ruin the evening, and he didn't! He made it better for all he knows! Malicious compliance, his favorite tool to use.
Later that evening the guests kept giving Jack and Janet Drake their compliments for the fireworks, and they both gladly accepted them, all while wondering who the fuck did that.
Neither Tim nor Vlad or Maddie, who knew who's at fault, said anything, although Maddie did ask Danny to never do that again without giving prior warning.
Maybe I can request… Agatha Harkness fixation with Reader because Reader is friendly and sweet so Agatha decides Reader is going to be only hers
The thing is… the thing is, you've always worked hard at being nice.
Maybe you're not special in any particular way, but you have done your best to be Nice, and that has to be good for something?
It's gotten the eye of a particular person - a witch, and you're fairly sure that she's a witch due to… well, a whole bunch of things. There's the lights that occasionally sprout from her fingers, or the way she always happens to get what she wants at the coffee shop, she never has to wait in line, things always seem to work out for her just so.
And also she's just. Floating outside your window. Floating like a mermaid, her hair all wavy around her face, purple trailing after her.
You don't know how she found your apartment, though.
She knocks on your window, and what are you supposed to do but open it?
"Hello there," she says, and she's smiling at you, that secret 'you and I are both in on the joke' smile that you can't help but smile back at.
"Hi," you say awkwardly, and your smile is… stilted, because… why?!
"I thought I'd check up on you," she says brightly, and she's got her hands shoved into her pockets. She's wearing a nice pair of charcoal slacks and a frankly admirable long coat, and there's a slightly wild look to her that's making you nervous.
"Oh," you say.
"It wasn't very hard to find your place," she adds, almost as an afterthought, and now she's walking through your small living room. Her boots sink into your carpet, and you wonder if you should tell her to take them off. You've got a little shoe rack by your door, but… what do you do for people coming in through the window?
"Um," you say. What are you supposed to actually say?
"I haven't seen you in a few days," she says casually. "I missed you. Thought I'd see if you were doing alright."
"Thank you," you say awkwardly. "I've been okay." You give her what you hope is a convincing smile. "It's just been, y'know, a little busy, with one thing and another." It's the time of year when work is hectic, and you've just about got the energy to go to work, come home, and vegetate.
"That girl was visiting," Agatha says, and now she's inspecting your bookcase, squinting at the assorted titles. You want to apologize for the mess of it, or maybe for some of the more embarrassing titles, but…
Well, you're still trying to wrap your head around the fact that she's here in the first place.
"Girl?" You frown, trying to keep track.
"With the bad dye job?" She's turned around, and she's frowning harder. "Horrible kaftan?"
"Oh," you say. "That's Maggie. She's my neighbor. She just broke up with her boyfriend, she was feeling down, we watched a movie, shared a pint of ice cream."
"So you've got time to have your neighbor over, but not to come see me?" She's crossed her arms, but she seems… taller.
It's making you nervous.
"I, uh. I didn't realize that it was so important to you that we meet up for coffee," you say awkwardly. "If I'd known, I wouldn't have, uh." You lick your lips. "I'll be in tomorrow," you add. "I've liked it too," you add, and it is true!
Who doesn't like having coffee with a hot, slightly unsettling witch? And okay, the way she trains her eyes on you will sometimes give you the creeps, but you can't deny it's kind of… nice.
All that work you've put into being nice, finally paying off in some little way.
"Don't bother," she says, and she steps closer to you.
You take a step back.
She takes another step closer.
Your back hits your kitchen table, and now you're standing here nervously, trying not to fiddle with your hands. She's close enough you can feel the warmth from her body, and the hem of her coat is brushing against the tops of your feet.
"How about we have a more… private meet up?" Her hand on your chin, forcing you to make eye contact with her.
You lick your lips, nod, and she leans forward, her lips so close to your own, her hot breath washing over your face. "And sweetheart?"
You manage to squeak some acknowledgment.
"No more visits from whatever her name is," she says. "I don't like sharing." And then she kisses you, and it's a little bit like you're flying yourself.
Hi! Let me start by saying I really like the way you write and your ideas!
I was wondering if you could write a gn Zaunite!reader x Steb
I'm not sure if you already did something like that so I'm asking! Thank you!🫶🫶
Mmmmmmmmh... I immediately thought of that scenario when I received that request! Hihihihihihihi
ʚɞ⋆༺𓆩⚔ Steb x GN!Zaunite reader ⚔𓆪༻⋆ʚɞ
Tags: First meeting, detention, Birthday cake, Reader has a little sister, Steb is nice in the coldest way possible
“Hey... Hey!”
You growl, ignoring the idiot in the cell next to you, elbows on your knees, flabergasted with yourself.
You can’t believe you got caught like a rookie! What a dumbass can you be, seriously?
“Hey!”
You spin on your bench and slam your boots against the bars of your cell right next to his face.
“What?!” You demand with a contained rage.
“Why are you in for?”
You hiss and spin away, fixing the ground with a closed expression.
“What did you do?”
“What’s it to you? Leave me in peace!” You snarl.
“Rhoooooo, come on! We all did something in their eyes, what’s yours? You robbed a bank? Pulled a gun? Why are you here?”
You deeply breathe, feeling the deep urge to throw your fist to his face to make him shut up. You raise your eyes to see an enforcer walking between the holding cells of the police station, a Fishman with a no-nonsense face and a long baton in his grip.
You wince, remembering the bites of the enforcers’ weapons in your back, prompting you to roll your shoulders to relax. The enforcer throws his indifferent gaze inside the different cells as he makes his rounds.
But there aren’t many people today... You may be only two in here.
“So?” You neighboor insist.
“I tried to steal a cake.” You admit between your teeth.
“You...?” He starts repeating before exploding laughing.
You roll your hands into fists, fighting the urge to kick the bars again, but with the Fisman here...
He remains still, right before your two cells, straight like an I, back turned to you, looking around the detention floor.
“A cake?!” The other idiot asks again, “You can’t be serious?!”
“Shut up! It’s my lil sister’s birthday! She wanted a good cake this year, a fancy one like they do in the upper floors.”
“And as the good big sibling that you are, you went and got one for her? Stop, I’ll shade a tear!” He keeps laughing loudly, prompting the Fishman to slam his baton against his bars.
You scrub your skull with a sigh.
“Well, I had one... It’s ruined now... But I promised her...”
“That’s pathetic!” He finishes laughing, “I should fear for my life being near someone of organized crime like you!”
“Shut up!” You bite, “You’re a lonely loser, you don’t know what it’s like to have someone counting on you, you spend your days drinking like a fish! You have no lesson to give me!”
The Fishman’s ear twitch and he spins, walking the rest of the floor in his stern strut, silent like a ghost.
You sigh and lay on your hard bench, ready to spend the night in detention, your head filled with that adorable pink box full of creamy cake, now absolutely destroyed where you’ve been apprehended.
You’re little sister will be sad...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Wake up!” They slam your door open with force.
You jump in a seating position with a gasp, wondering for a second why you did not wake up in your own bedroom.
Ah yes... The cake...
“Someone bailed your ass out, get out.” The enforcer at your door explains.
You stand on your feet, your legs still wobbly with fatigue but head towards the hall for prisoners as they indicates you.
You sniff and reach the counter where you discover the Fishman who guarded you yesterday, typing on a workstation diligently.
“Damn, you do everyone’s paper too? You should reach out to HR.” You chuckle, leaning against the bars of the counter.
He raises his eyes from the screen with an eyebrow, gauging you up and down.
“So...” You gulp, straightening your position under his stern gaze, “How do we proceed? I’ve never been to detention before.”
He probably do not believe you but says not a thing and slides a form for you to read and sign.
“Hey! You know who bailed me out?” You ask while you sign.
He doesn’t respond and disappears in the back, leaving you alone like an idiot.
He reappears with your studded jacket, your belt, and pocket knife. He lays them down on his side of the counter and slides them through the small opening still mute.
You check your blade and hide in your back pocket, pass on your belt, and seize your jacket.
You stop dead in your tracks.
You discover a pink box under your jacket.
Exactly like the one you lost during your arrest.
You carefully open it to discover a perfectly intact and fresh cake inside.
“Hum...” You start, “Where does that come from?”
He sits back down, ignoring you blatantly, resuming his typing.
“Hey! Fuzz! Listen to me, where does that cake come from?!”
He slowly turns his head toward you with his closed expression. Seeing your furious expression, he grabs the box to pull it back.
By reflex, you grab it too to keep it!
Dear... Gods, he has some strength! You have to use your two hands to keep it. Still pulling he tilts his head to you, blinking his third eyelid with a cold expression.
“I-I still want it!” You protest, pulling hard.
He raises an eyebrow before letting go of the box and delicately indicates the door to leave.
You press the precious pick box against your chest like he would jump from his seat to grab it again like an animal.
“I... Thank you.” You just mumble and walk away.
Thank you?
Thank you?!
Since when do you thank Pltover’s pigs?!
But... Could it be him?
You squint as the sun blinds you, avoiding the dirty looks of all those uptight people of the upper floor witnessing you leaving detention. You look again at the creamy cake in the pink box. It looks absolutely delicious, with even a ‘Happy birthday little sister’ written on it.
That cannot possibly be that Fish fuzz, can it?
You stop and look back at the police station in silence.
You shake your head and resume your walk, your little sister awaits you.
And her cake!
・。tasty confessions 🥮
you've ordered: a vanilla gingerbread tart! enjoy!
"this is falling, falling in love"
leona kingscholar x reader | word count: 1,418 words
summary: holiday confession gone wrong...and right? 🥮
warnings: none!
note: i don't celebrate christmas, so in the fic, i didn't specify the holiday (used "holiday season" instead)
"trey, a little help here?" you yelled, attempting to carry two trays of tart shells out of the oven.
"ah, coming! you've gotta be careful, y/n." the green haired boy reminded you, rushing over and taking one of the trays.
the cozy holiday season had settled upon night raven college rather nicely. decorations were put up and plans for celebration were in full swing. and you intended to make this one extra special.
you'd decided to bake tarts for your friends in the various dorms and even a few for the night raven staff. as you filled the shells with various creams and custards, trey helped you out, offering up his baking expertise when you were caught in the weeds about how to do this.
as you now cut up various fruits and other sweets for decoration, the door to the kitchen opened and in walked cater, holding grim in his arms.
"i couldn't get him to stop. he somehow smelled your tarts from down the hall." cater said, seeming like he'd put in a lot of effort in trying to stop the cat-like creature.
"hey, you better save some for me, henchman!" grim exclaimed, hopping out of cater's arms and onto the counter.
"don't worry grim. after i'm done, i'll make you all the tuna tarts you want." you smiled, scratching under his chin.
"hey y/n, why are these tarts different than all the others?" cater questioned, pointing to a small batch of tarts that were obviously different from the others.
your cheeks colored a bit upon being questioned, your hand almost dropping the spoon you held.
"those are...for leona." you admitted, cater letting out an excited "ooh!"
it was no secret that you had a crush on leona. the lion beastman had caught your attention the first day you'd arrived. you used to think he was lazy and rude, but after being around him for a while, your outlook changed. and so did your feelings.
"i plan on writing a note to him in which i confess my feelings and...putting in in his tart bag..." you murmured, your cheeks warming up in embarrassment.
"confessing to him with tarts? how cute." trey quipped, placing a tray of finished tarts into the fridge to chill.
"yeah, i just hope it goes well..."
"oh trust me, i'm sure he likes you too. leona isn't keen on putting up with people just like that." cater said, swiping a bit of cream onto his finger and tasting it.
"cater!" you scolded, rushing to grab grim before he dunked his whole head in the bowl.
"alright, alright! enough fun. i've gotta get back to baking." you playfully grumbled, shooing them out.
a day had passed since you cooked up your delicious sweet treats. each person had 5 tarts, all in a clear bag with a colored ribbon on top. you went around to each dorm handing out the tasty tarts and to your surprise, everyone loved them!
you finally stopped in front of your final destination: the savanaclaw dorms. you clutched the basket in your hands, glancing down at it to do one last check. one for ruggie, one for jack, and obviously one for....?! you then realized you were short one bag...and it was the most important bag of all. just where was leona's bag??
in haste, you quickly scrambled back over to heartslabyul, ignoring a nagging riddle as you barged into the kitchen. you looked everywhere, every nook and cranny. absolutely nothing.
you grabbed your phone, calling trey.
"hey trey. have you seen the tarts i made for...you know who?" you asked, praying that he knew something.
"no, sorry y/n. the last i saw of them was when i left last night, and they were still in your basket. did something happen?" he asked, seeming concerned.
"uh, you know what? don't worry about it. thanks trey." you said before hanging up.
it wasn't like the tarts had grown legs and ran away! you didn't have time for this. and you definitely didn't have the time to make new tarts. you asked across the dorms (except savanaclaw) if they'd seen the tarts, to which everyone responded no. what were you going to do?
as you paced around the hallway, someone called out your name. turning, you were met by ruggie, a member of savanaclaw. upon seeing your panic, ruggie made his way over to you, tail flicking.
"y/n, what's wrong? you look more stressed than leona when he can't get his favorite sandwich." he asked.
you let out a sigh of defeat, leaning against the wall. "i made tarts for everyone to celebrate the holidays. i also made...special tarts for leona. i was going to tell him how i feel today, but...i can't find his damn tarts!" you groaned.
"well, what did they look like?" ruggie asked.
"they were in a clear bag like everyone else's. but his had a yellow and black ribbon on it, whereas the ones for you and jack were just yellow." you could already see the guilt on ruggie's face.
"spit it out."
"i may or may not have found said package of tarts...and given them to leona-" ruggie mumbled, visibly sweat-dropping.
your mouth fell open in horror as you realized the situation you were in. leona...had already gotten your tarts!
"ruggie, where is leona right now?" you asked urgently, shoving the basket into his arms.
"oof! uhhh...i think he's in the botanical garden. that's where i gave it to him."
you made a mad dash down the hall, bursting into the garden. your eyes frantically looked around, spotting a tail in the corner of your eye.
when you got closer, your stomach dropped as you saw leona, already breaking into the sweet treats.
"need something, herbivore?" the beastman asked, his tail flicking.
you swallowed, taking a breath before walking over and snatching up the note.
"you didn't read this, right?" you asked, leona smirking as he licked cream off of the corner of his lips.
"and what if i did?" he challenged, your heart dropping.
"h-how much did you-?" "all of it."
the note fell from your hands, your heart aching as you looked leona in the eyes. damn...this was embarrassing.
as you tried to keep yourself from panicking, you stepped closer to him, kneeling down to his level. "so...how do you feel about what you read?"
leona let out a soft "hm", as if he were thinking of the perfect response. "come a little closer." he said.
you shuffled a bit closer to him, mumbling a soft "yeah?" as you did. the lion man just smirked, beckoning you closer.
"come on herbivore, get closer. just a little. and close your eyes."
you moved closer till you were practically touching noses with leona, your eyes fluttering shut. you felt like your heart would leap out of your chest at any given moment.
thwack! you pulled back, your eyes opening in surprise. leona had just flicked you in the forehead!
"what the hell, leona?" you exclaimed, your hand flying up to caress the spot he'd flicked.
"you really are dense." "what-"
leona leaned in a bit closer this time, his breath tickling your cheek. "you think i ate your tarts out of pity? if i didn't want 'em, i could've easily given 'em away. seems i've taken...a liking to you, herbivore."
you froze right there, on the spot. you couldn't believe what you were hearing. THE leona kingscholar just confessed to YOU. you didn't have time to think before leona captured your chin between his thumb and index finger, his emerald green eyes locking with yours.
"hm, you still don't seem very convinced." before you could even think...leona's lips were on yours.
the kiss was soft and warm and made you feel all fuzzy inside. you slowly eased into it, your hands coming up to cup his face as a warmth flowed through your body.
when it was over, you nodded your head, a slight flush on your cheeks. "yeah...i get it now..."
leona let out an amused chuckle, pulling you down to lay with him, a soft yelp leaving you.
"don't you usually sleep alone?" you mumbled, your face warming up.
"you owe me. all your tarts made me sleepy. your punishment is to lay with me and not move a muscle."
you laughed a little, reaching up to tuck a bit of hair behind his ear. "should be easy enough."
and just like that, your holiday was one to remember.🥮
Seungcheol with a first-time driver
Requested? Yes!
Request: ‘Seungcheol with a partner who’s learning how to drive. Maybe they didn’t get the same opportunities to learn when they were younger and now as an adult they’re trying to make up for it. It would be nice to see how he reacts in diff scenarios Thanks love your work!’
When you start dating Seungcheol, he’s pretty unfazed when you tell him you don’t drive. In a big city, it’s a choice that a lot of people make to save money when public transportation is reliable. But the more time he spends with you, he has this nagging feeling that there’s more to it than just choosing not to drive. One day, a few months into the relationship, you ask him to grab your ID out of your wallet for something. One glance tells him that it’s not exactly a choice when it comes to not driving. You don’t even have a driver’s license, just a government ID card.
He sort of hates how you freeze up when he asks about it. He’s not judging, just curious why you didn’t follow through with something that he kind of sees as a rite of passage. You don’t have to give him a ton of details - just saying that you didn’t really get the opportunity to learn is enough of an explanation for him. He gets all soft at your expression when he offers to teach you. It’s an expression full of vulnerability and trust, and he absolutely won’t let you waste it on him.
He guides you through preparing for the written test and getting a learner’s permit. From there, he starts slow, letting you sit in the driver’s seat and giving you a tour. He assumes you know some of it already, but he has a special way of teaching you things without making you feel stupid. You even feel safe enough to ask questions, and he easily answers all of them.
When you’re ready, he takes you to an empty parking lot, letting you start up the car for yourself. He’s so, so gentle, not a hint of panic in him as he guides you through it. He lets you do laps and park and pull out of parking spots until you get comfortable with it.
Then he picks a day, time, and route that’s not going to be busy and lets you take the wheel to get comfortable driving around other cars. Softly reminds you of stopping distances, speed limits, and other typical rules of the road. If you ever feel discouraged, he’s insisting you brush it off because it’s okay to make mistakes while you’re learning. If you ever get stressed, he’ll try to soothe you, but if it doesn’t help, he’ll have you pull over, and he’ll switch seats to take the wheel.
He doesn’t rush you to take the practical test and straight up tells you that he’ll drive you everywhere you need to go forever, but he’s undeniably proud to watch you become more independent this way when you pass the test. He sort of thinks he has tears in his eyes if you take the keys from him and offer to drive one day because it’s such a 180 from how you were about it at the beginning of his relationship with you. Oh, don’t get me wrong, he’ll put up a fight because he likes you being his passenger princess, but he’s still proud.
The Hunter
Din Djarin x f!reader | 4.2k | ao3 | masterlist
summary: you were used to seeing all sorts of beings around Daiyu, but a Mandalorian was still unexpected.
a/n: @deathwife happy @pedrostories secret santa! 🧡 I hope you like this fic! I saw "Din" and "cyberpunk" and ran with it. It was fun (let me know how I did with the aesthetic, lol). Thank you to @katareyoudrilling for beta-ing (and keeping me on track).
tags/warnings: bounty hunting, flirting, fluff, canon-typical violence (while bounty hunting, ex. shooting blasters, fighting, etc.), touching, reader is not described but wears black pants, can run and climb and sneak around, set vaguely while Din is still bounty hunting, I played fast and loose with the layout of Daiyu lol
You saw him once before he ever saw you.
Crouched on a ledge well above street level, you watched the crowds ebb and flow below. It was somehow even more crowded than usual, with the new year holiday only a week away. You were in the second-largest marketplace in one of the nicer (but still not nice) neighborhoods on Daiyu. The neon lights from the shops and stalls around you kept you hidden, out of sight behind a sign, almost camouflaged in your matte black clothing. You were alert, looking for someone, when you saw him out of the corner of your eye.
At first you thought it was just something shiny that caught your attention. You turned your head slightly to look closer and found yourself staring at the back of a shiny silver helmet. You blinked.
A Mandalorian?
You moved silently to the other side of your small ledge, trying to get a better look at him in the crowd. He turned slowly in a circle, obviously scanning the people around him. He didn’t look up at your ledge as you took him in. The neon lights around him reflected off of his extremely shiny armor, painting him in pinks and greens and blues. He was tall and broad, and you tilted your head as you watched him move smoothly through the crowd. You weren’t sure the people around him even noticed how quickly they moved out of his way.
He turned into an alleyway and you moved to follow him without any conscious decision to do so. You scaled the short ladder to your right, jogged lightly over the balcony on the third floor of the neighboring building, and turned the corner.
By the time you got there, he was gone.
…
Two nights later, you were walking slowly through the same market, a few streets over from where you first saw him, when you saw him again.
This time, you caught sight of him in the crowd in front of you. He was moving steadily forwards, helmet turning side to side as he searched the crowd around him again. You wondered who he might be looking for – it wasn’t uncommon for bounties to hide out on Daiyu, after all.
Your own target would be occupied for at least the next few hours. Without examining the impulse too closely, you shifted your focus to the shiny Mandalorian and started to follow him through the crowd.
He took his time, you noticed. His steps were unhurried and his scan was thorough. As he led you closer to the eastern edge of the market, you wondered if he even knew where he was headed.
Daiyu was essentially one big city, but the levels and neighborhoods were often so different from each other that it was like being in many different cities at once. The eastern edge of this market followed a remnant of the planet’s original topography – a river ran along the surface, far, far below where you were now. But the tall, many-storied industrial zone that sat atop the river interrupted the city streets.
That is, unless you knew how to get through it.
As the Mandalorian approached what basically seemed like a dead-end, you turned and scaled one of the balconies to your right. You settled in about 3 meters back and 4 meters above his head, crouched in a shadow, wondering what he might do next.
He looked to either side, seeming to take in the way the buildings stopped just before the wall, leaving a tiny path along its face.
And then, to your surprise, he turned and looked straight up at you. You masked your reaction and raised one eyebrow. “Lost, Mando?”
He tilted his head, and the deep voice that came out of the helmet made you shiver. “What makes you say that?”
You shrugged. “Well, you hit a dead end. Where are you headed?”
For a long moment, he just looked at you. You wondered what he saw. Then he shifted his weight. “It was you. The other night in the market.”
You blinked. “Me?”
“Following me.” You scoffed, but he stepped back to scan you up and down. “Looking for me?”
There was an edge to his voice, and you heard the potential threat underlying the question. You laughed. “Mando, it’s not my fault you’re shiny. How do you sneak anywhere, when you light up like that?” You gestured at his armor, which was still reflecting the neon lights hanging everywhere along the street.
He didn’t answer your question. “Then why follow me? Again?”
“What, a girl can’t be curious?” You sighed. “My stakeout got a little boring. And you really are very shiny, you know.”
He stared at you, but you noticed some of the tension leave his shoulders. “Go back to your stakeout.”
You stood on the balcony as he turned back towards the wall. “You can’t get through that way.” He looked over his shoulder at you and seemed surprised to find you standing. You dropped down from the balcony as he watched. “You need to go about 10 minutes south,” you pointed to the right, “that entrance is usually less well guarded.”
“You seem to know a lot about it.”
You shrugged. “Local,” you said, gesturing at yourself. You wondered if he would ask for help, but he started to walk away from you.
Just before he turned the corner, he looked back again. “Thanks.”
Before you could say anything in response, he was gone.
…
To your surprise, you didn’t have to wait long to see the mysterious Mandalorian again.
The next night you were loitering outside of a bar (technically, you were sitting and having a drink at the stall across the street, completely blending in with your surroundings), tracking your target inside, when a familiar shiny reflection caught your eye.
He was lit up in orange and purple, this time, and he was walking straight towards you.
“Mando,” you greeted when he stopped next to your table. “Still on the hunt?”
“As are you.” His voice was even, but it was an interesting observation. You wondered if he was as intrigued by you as you were by him.
You gestured at the bar across the street, which had a line down the block of people waiting to get in. “On another stakeout.”
He tilted his head and shifted his weight. “Who are you?”
You smiled. “Figured out I’m not a bounty hunter?” When he didn’t answer, you continued, “a bit of a freelancer. I find people. Information. Not like you, though.”
He seemed to think about that for a moment before nodding. “Alright. Thanks for the tip, about the factory.”
“Anytime.”
For a moment you both said nothing as you looked at each other, but you seemed to gather your courage at the same time.
“Mando, d’you–”
“I should–”
You both stopped, and you laughed. “Do you want a drink?”
He shook his head and stook a step back. “I should go.” Before you could respond, he turned and started down the street. You wanted to call after him, but your target surprised you by slipping out of the door across the street before you could think of what to say. You turned your attention back to your job and tried to put your mysterious, shiny Mandalorian out of your mind.
…
You didn’t see him for a couple of days, and as you wrapped up your own case, you figured he must have located his bounty. You put together the data packet for your client and tried not to dwell on the fact that he was probably off planet, already.
You don’t even know his name.
Sighing, you stood from your desk in your tiny office and decided to treat yourself to your favorite cheap street food, from the stall that was kind of out of the way but always so good. You locked up and headed out.
You weren’t sure why the Mandalorian seemed to fill your thoughts, but you found yourself thinking about him again the entire walk to your dinner. He was obviously fit – those shoulders - but that didn’t change the fact that he was a bounty hunter you barely knew. You didn’t really know him at all.
As you joined the line at the stall, you resolved to put him out of your mind.
Of course, right at that moment you felt a presence fall into step with you. You smiled as you looked to your right, already knowing what you would find.
“Mando,” you greeted, crossing your arms. “Figured you’d be gone by now.”
He made a little huffing noise, and you wondered if you’d just made him laugh.
“Still here.” You moved forward in line and he moved with you. “I…” he trailed off, and you noticed the tension in his arms. Was he nervous? “I could use your help.”
Your eyebrows flew upwards and you knew your shock was written all over your face. “Me? I’m not a bounty hunter.”
He shook his head. “I know. But you’re good. And you know this place.” He gestured at the city around you. “He keeps slipping through my fingers, he clearly knows his way around.”
You took a moment to study him. You wanted to say yes and jump right in, but you reminded yourself you still didn’t know this man. No matter how interesting he seemed. “Alright, Mando. Buy me dinner and we’ll talk.” He tensed, but you smiled. “Don’t worry, Mando. Wait ‘til you see the prices.”
He did, in fact, seem relieved when he saw how cheap the stall was. There was a reason it was so popular.
Dinner in hand, though he refused to get something for himself, you led him around the corner and upwards until you were perched on a half-roof that jutted out from where two buildings had been combined in some sort of wonky construction merger that left just part of the original roof alone. You knew there was no roof access from the inside, so it was a great place to sit if you knew how to get to it otherwise. It was even partially hidden by a large advertisement. He followed, scaling the wall behind you effortlessly.
“Alright,” you said, once you and the Mandalorian had settled into your new surroundings. “What’s the problem?”
He retrieved a bounty puck from a pouch at his waist and turned it on. You noticed how big his hands were in comparison with the puck, but brushed the thought aside. “Bounty’s local – a Twi’lek named Lidar Tas. He knows this place too well, knows just where to hide.”
You nodded. You’d heard of Tas and his gang of mudscuffers. “Never met him, but, well. His name is pretty well-known.”
He nodded. “I’ve heard people talking about him, been chasing him for almost two weeks. Almost had him in the factory, but I swear he went into one of the water chutes on purpose.”
The Mandalorian sounded incredulous, and you couldn’t help but smile. “He probably did. Some of them are kept empty, but you wouldn’t know the schedule or which ones without an in at the factory. Or a local. It’s still dangerous but I can see why he’d go for it, running from you.”
He sighed. “Yeah, I figured. Couldn’t even tell which one he went into, though.”
You hummed sympathetically. “Any idea where he’s going next?”
He nodded, and put away the puck. “He’ll be over in the western market again, for the festival. I was hoping you could help me prepare for whatever escape routes he might take.”
You tilted your head, unable to hold back your question any longer. “Why me?”
He turned toward you slightly. “I can tell you know what you’re doing. That first night, I knew someone was tailing me, but I couldn’t find you. And you clearly know your way around.”
You smiled again, a bit flattered. “Really? Just from that?”
“I know real skill when I see it.”
“Alright,” you agreed. “Well, then how do you feel about having a second set of eyes?”
He stiffened. “I can’t–”
But you were already shaking your head. “No payment necessary, Mando. I’m happy to help.”
He moved his head in such a way that you thought he might be frowning. “No, I can pay you a fair share of the bounty. I don’t want to put you in danger.”
You scoffed. “Which one of us knows this place? I’ll be fine. People are used to seeing me, the locals won’t even blink if they do. I promise.” He hesitated, and you smiled again. “Come on, Mando. It’ll be fun.”
He made that small huffing noise again, and you were certain this time it was a laugh. You grinned.
“Alright, but if I tell you to back off, promise you’ll do it? I don’t want you hurt.”
You nodded. That seemed fair, even though you knew you could take care of yourself. In agreement, you settled in to plan.
…
The next night you resolutely ignored the fact that you were putting on the black pants that made your ass look amazing. And the jacket that you knew made you look cool and tough (according to your friends).
You met up with the Mandalorian well away from the market, and found him leaning against the corner of a repair shop. You smiled, knowing he was trying to be inconspicuous, but he couldn’t hide from the neon lights and the way they reflected off of his armor.
“You know, he probably saw you coming,” you said, gesturing at his armor.
He sighed. “He did, early on. Tipped him off.”
“You’re just too shiny, Mando.” You laughed and you swore he must have rolled his eyes at you.
His helmet tilted as he looked you up and down, and you ignored the heat that rose in your face. “It’s impressive, you know. That you can hide around here as well as you do.”
You shrugged. “The secret is to only wear black, obviously.” You smiled. “Should we get started?” You both knew the plan, and you knew where you’d be as a lookout. He nodded and turned to walk towards the festival.
“Hey, Mando, wait,” you said. He stopped and turned to look at you. “I just realized, I never told you my name.”
He turned back towards you and regarded you silently for a moment. “I won’t tell you mine.”
This didn’t surprise you. “That’s alright. I can keep calling you Mando.” You told him your name and did not fidget.
He nodded, once, and repeated it. You tried to hide the way you shivered at the sound. “Let’s go.”
…
You split up as you headed to the market, and soon enough you were in one of your normal perches – a balcony well hidden by a neon sign. It gave you a good vantage point without being too bright, at least from the back. The colors and flashing lights also obscured the fact that you were lurking behind them.
“In position,” Mando murmured over your comm. You’d dug up an old ear piece so you didn’t have to fidget with anything. You realized suddenly that maybe this wasn’t the best choice. HIs voice was deep and gravely and it felt like he was right next to you, speaking lowly into your ear. “No sign yet.”
You shook yourself lightly and cleared your throat. “Nothing here.”
You were both silent for a moment. You forced yourself to scan the crowded street below and do your job.
“Target spotted, moving north past the theater,” his low voice murmured in your ear. You shivered as you turned left to look. Sure enough, Tas was walking with a small group past the theater. He looked strangely carefree for someone who knew he was being hunted by a Mandalorian. Maybe he thought the hunter had given up?
“I see him,” you replied. “He’ll pass me soon.”
The Mandalorian was further up the road to your right, staying out of sight (and away from the neon lights). You knew he had to be using some sort of fancy equipment to spot Tas from so far away.
Tas and his group stopped, suddenly, and you realized where they were going before they turned. “Mando, Tas must be doing a deal tonight. He’s going inside the casino, just him and one of his lackeys.”
The casino was decorated for the holiday with even brighter lights than normal. The facade was almost obscured by the number of moving lights and shapes. You knew people like Tas used it to do business rather than gamble. Though maybe they did both – you wouldn’t know, as you’d never been inside.
“I’m heading your way,” he replied, and you could hear the crowd on the street in the background. “Do you know where they’d go?”
You shook your head, even though he couldn’t see you. “I’ve never been inside. Kriff, I’m sorry, Mando. I just know there’s a back door down the alley, I’ve had to watch it before.”
For a moment the Mandalorian didn’t respond, and you felt your own disappointment start to roil in your gut. But then he surprised you.
“I don’t want to ask this of you.” His voice was low and apologetic. “I can’t go inside, they’ve seen me. Do you think you can without attracting notice? If it’s too dangerous, tell me.”
You hesitated, thinking about it. There were people streaming in and out of the casino – it was probably crowded for the festival. It should be easy to hide inside, with all those people.
You’d been silent too long, you realized, when the Mandalorian started to say your name.
“I can do it,” you cut him off. “It’s way more crowded than usual, with all the people here for the festival. No one’ll look twice at me.” You looked down at your outfit and nodded. It could pass, you thought.
He said your name again. “Only if you’re sure you can stay under the radar. I don’t want–”
But you were already moving. You dropped down into an alley a block over and made your way back to the casino. “I’ll be ok, Mando. I’ll check in soon.”
“Be careful. Don’t take any risks.” You tried not to read into the emotion you could hear in his voice.
It was too late for you to respond as you stepped up to the door. The Bothan working the door looked you up and down and then waved you in, looking bored.
You took a deep breath as you stepped inside.
It was about what you’d expected. Not quite seedy, but not exactly opulent. Everything was lit up in lurid red and purple lights. It was decorated for the festival but that didn’t hide the fact that overall, the place had seen better days. You scanned the room as you walked and headed towards the bar along the south wall.
When you ordered a drink, you let the Mandalorian hear it over the comm. You settled in at the bar and thanked whoever designed the tacky interior for all the mirrors they’d installed above the bar. You scanned the room slowly. There were tables for every gambling game you could name and many you couldn’t. Your eyes caught on a door in the back corner, hidden in shadow. Tas’s lackey was hoving right outside of it.
You let your gaze keep wandering across the mirrors as you brought your drink to your mouth. “Northeast corner. Guy outside the door,” you murmured, barely moving your mouth. You heard a sharp intake of breath.
“The side door?” he sounded out of breath, and you wondered what he was up to.
“Think so,” you agreed, taking another sip. “Right spot.”
“Stay there,” he said, voice firm. “I’m going in.”
You didn’t respond, afraid to distract him. Your mind played you images of the Mandalorian bursting into a room and being outnumbered, and you took a deep breath. He knows what he’s doing. You kept an eye on the door.
The next few minutes were excruciating. You waited, straining to hear anything, but unable to, over the crowd and the ringing of the games.
You didn’t hear anything, but you noticed when the lackey outside the door went suddenly tense. You watched as he turned towards the door and without hesitation, you got up and moved to follow.
The room seemed much larger when you turned, ready to cross it towards the door. There were people in your way, people you had to shove past, and by the time you shouldered and elbowed your way to the other side of the floor the lackey was gone and the door was shut. You eyed it, wondering if you should go through.
The unmistakable sound of a blaster made the decision for you.
Before you realized you were moving, your hand was on the door and you were yanking it open. You were surprised to find a hallway, rather than a room, but there was only one door at the other end. You ran to it.
You took a deep breath instead of barreling through the second door. You pressed your ear to it, but you didn’t hear anything inside. Easing it open, you found a room full of storage shelves. You heard rustling towards the back.
Stepping softly, you started to edge around the first shelf. You looked down the row and your heart started racing.
The Mandalorian was at the far end of the room, tying the hands of Lidar Tas. He was surrounded by bodies, all clearly down, except for one man sneaking out from between two shelves about halfway between you and Mando. It was the lackey who had been outside the door.
You froze, but only for a moment.
When the man turned and silently lifted his blaster, you were already there, tackling him to the ground. You knocked the blaster away before he even realized what was happening. By the time you’d knocked him out and looked up at Mando, he was already looking at you.
You grinned. “Fancy meeting you here.”
He laughed. You could tell, even though you couldn’t hear it.
“You’re alright?” he asked, and you felt your face heat, though you weren’t sure why.
You nodded. “Just fine. Came when I saw him move, and then heard the blasters.”
He stood and tugged Tas up, throwing the unconscious Twi’lek over his shoulder. You were a bit taken aback at his strength. “I need to get him to my ship. Could you, well. It would be easier if I could get there without going through the crowds.”
“I can help with that.” You smiled as you walked past him to the back door. “Come on, Mando. Where’s your ship?”
You heard a blaster fire, and whirled around. The Mandalorian was already putting his blaster back in its holster, and you realized he’d just shot the man you knocked out. “Mando?” You weren’t exactly sad to see one of Tas’ men dead, but you were a bit surprised.
“He might have seen you,” he said. “I told you, I won’t put you in danger.”
You looked down, trying not to see that as sweet.
“Alright. Come on, Mando.”
Your trip to the shipyard was surprisingly uneventful. Once you arrived, you weren’t sure what to do, so you followed him up the ramp of his ship and watched as he put Tas in carbonite.
You realized, suddenly, that he was going to leave. The disappointment you felt at the realization seemed hugely out of proportion with the short time you’d known him, and yet… your stomach sank, and you bit your lip.
You didn’t want him to go.
He turned from the freezer, and you could see it in the angle of his shoulders. He was about to say goodbye. So you spoke before he could.
“Well, Mando,” you said, aiming for a lighter tone and missing by a mile, “you sure you have to go? It’s been fun, having you around.”
He shifted his weight. “I have to turn him in.” He sounded reluctant, and you felt something like excitement start to build in your chest. Maybe he didn’t want to go yet.
“Of course,” you agreed. “But, you know, it is a holiday. If you wanted to stick around for another night.” You tried not to fidget as you looked at him. He didn’t respond, and as his silence started to stretch, the excitement started to turn to embarrassment.
You sucked in a sharp breath and started to turn away. “I’ll just–”
Before you could even take a step, there was a gloved hand on your arm. A large, warm hand. You shivered.
“One more night?” he murmured, and you felt him step up behind you. The warmth of his body made you want to lean back into him. He squeezed your arm.
“Yes,” you said, and you were surprised at how breathy your voice sounded.
He stepped even closer, somehow, and his armor brushed your back. You felt him lean towards you and when he spoke, it was like he was whispering in your ear. “With you?” His voice was deep, so deep.
“Yes,” you said again.
His helmet came to rest against the side of your head and his free arm slipped around your waist. “The helmet stays on.”
You sighed and leaned back into him. You nodded. “Alright.”
“Then lead the way, mesh’la.”
You grinned and reached down to lace your fingers together.
...
Three months later your comm pinged while you were on a stakeout. When you looked at the message, you couldn’t help but smile.
Heading your way for a hunt. You in?
...
